Thanks for the insight fellas... I think I saw a positive review on a toy blog a few days ago which had stuck with me. Then BBTS today, and I'm a sucker for a pressure sale :duh- I should have done more research first.
I think I'll cancel then and get the store credit instead just to be safe.
I bought one  I thought the medicom rah version was supposed to be the best likeness... and lots of accessories. Did I make a bad choice? :monkey2
Actually, I was referring to this one in Canada..

It ended. I'm sure his price is negotiable.....
Wow - this thread is fading - nooo. I still have not received mine yet :(
I paid Aug 6 but it only left HK on Aug 21st! Prob another week or two to go -- anyone got more pics to post?
Re: Avatar pre-order next week..
:naughty
:horror you did?? I dunno, I actually think 22 or 20 is reasonable. 30 is just shy of three feet, it would look like a kid's robot toy if it was that big. I think 20-22 elegantly captures the details of a maquette like this.
Re: AVATAR
Hey Atheris!! You ordered it? Are you shipping to Toronto? With the US dollar rising next year, customs and shipping, it will cost near to $2,000 canadian...:horror
Re: Avatar pre-order next week..
I read in other posts that ss usually screws up the advertised weight spec on a maquette and then corrects it later on. I think this happened with the 1:1 predalien bust for example. But as far as them screwing up the dimensions, I've not come across that...
Re: Avatar pre-order next week..
I think the price is fair, still hard to swallow, but fair. I think the sheer size and detail is an amazing achievement. There is nothing else like it, it looks awesome!! :rock
