My guy, the smaller piece is the retractable leg on the bipod. The bigger tube is barrel replacement...I think.

Unfortunately I've already packed away the rest of the MT figure to storage because I only have room to display one Geralt. But I do think the head is, in fact, a bit oversized compared to other 1/6 figures...thus the CM Toys body, bulky as it is, makes it just right.
