Syfy: Face Off 2 with POP Culture Shock Toys' Jerry Macaluso

Its interesting and sometimes annoying how they edit everyone. There is certainly an agenda to create characters and drama. Truth is we all got along really well after the first episode learning curve. Of course there were some moments of tension, between Beki and Miranda, between Sue and...

Syfy: Face Off 2 with POP Culture Shock Toys' Jerry Macaluso

Thanks After that episode I felt validated as old age and character makeups are by far the hardest thing to do well, even if the general public wouldnt understand that. The funny thing to me is reading the various forums and how when i screwed up my name was dropping like bombs as sucking and...

I think for someone like Athena the show is a win/win. She wasnt in the MUFX field before the show and as far as I know, she doesnt really want to be in it. She is a well known body painter/celebrity impersonator and she did the show because she loves to learn new techniques and challenge...

Syfy: Face Off 2 with POP Culture Shock Toys' Jerry Macaluso

Athena was out of her league, but considering how limited her background in MUFX is, she did amazingly well. They dont say it, but Athena had never even made or applied a prosthetic until her audition 4 months before we filmed. To go from that level of inexperience to...

Thanks I was really happy with the design and sculpt but I had a lot of problems with my model during the application. She was let go after the first episode for being too difficult to work with. I wish I had had the chance to properly finish that witch makeup as I think it could have been cool.

Popcultureshock Mortal Kombat - Scorpion Statue

Hey y'all. Im always listening to constructive criticism and will make changes I believe are for the best. Its pretty unanimous that you dont like the flaming skull and since you are the customer you must be right. So it is official that I will include a non-flaming skull head that is more...

Popcultureshock Street Fighter 1/6th scale Figures

That was a really thoughtful post. I appreciate it. We start with the shotokans as we can use the same body parts for *most* and this will give me a good idea of sales figures etc. They will be priced similarly to comparable Hot Toys where a simpler figure like Ryu may be $ 130 and something...

MUMM-RA THE Ever-Living !!!! by Pop Culture Shock Collectibles !

Glad you all like it ! For the base I wanted something that was equal to Lion-O's and it seemed kind of boring to just make another big chunk of rock...so I thought the skull worked well since it was such an important aspect of Mumm Ra's lair.

New Thundercats "Staction" figures coming by Icon Heroes!!!

Re: New Thundercats "Staction" figures coming!!! FWIW polystone is very expensive and those Thundercats probably cost the company close to $20 just with factory costs. I believe NECA was able to price the MOTU stactions at $20 because they were plastic, but Bandai has total plastic rights so...
