Do we know sales/ship figures? It seems SS has been doing limited editions to help with sales of niche items. HT appears to have open ended runs but without knowing what they produced for the New Trilogy vs the OT what we see could be deceptive. HT/Disney could have over produced new trilogy...

I think the sculpt is off, it's not bad but there seems to be something 'off'. Many of the Star Wars figures are like this to me. Sort of like the uncanny effect. I also think the head looks more figure/doll like than other releases but the resolution/flash etc is probably the reason for that...

Fairly happy with this fig, forgot how much it was, but its probably as close to HT as SS will get. I ended up removing the fore-arm cover do-hickies (Technical term) they made the hands waaaay more difficult to swap and pose since you couldn't get the gauntlet portion up higher to get better...

I am sorry but imo you are not taking the whole figure into account when complaining about price. This figure has A LOT of accessories and separate parts, all with fairly good detailing and weathering... 2 swords, 2 pistols, 2 grenades, bunch of hands, 1 large gun, double holster belt harness...

No kidding... I am going out of county last 2 weeks of the year... SS requires signatures and I know a couple of these figs will come in during that time... Will have to figure something out I suppose.

I am not ordering purely because the price and it's sideshow. I got the 20% off deal on hoth han and honestly while a great sculpt for sideshow its not hot toys price even on their off day. I still question if the money was well spent given the quality. Sideshow still reads "figure" while hot...

Yeah I have no self control either, was going to pass but once I heard it could be either/or I ordered it. Sad thing is I know I will NEVER pose it as a trooper only.

I would say its more they don't value the figures the same so they believe the cost is frivolous/waste. Just the same as I believe designer purses are a waste of money. Could prada purses be collectible and not nearly as costly due to aftermarket prices (like most figures) I don't know, maybe...

Hard to tell... ST has all the armor/under-suit, but no face that needs to be painted. Is the plastic armor and the small amount of paint on the armor equal to the cost of the limited outfit and face paint of Leia? No clue but it certainly looks like $200 is the base price for HT now.

Not a horrible figure for a redo, they could easily do worse. The current boots are horrible and body was loose (at least mine). This figure screams dynamic poses imo, the body boots upgrade and hopefully better costume could make this worth upgrading. This is probably one of the most iconic...
