I actually bought the tots Chucky in hopes of replacing my Sideshow version and making some cash in the process. I couldn't sell the tots version quick enough once I saw it in person. Lol
Even though they're both from Tony Gardner I don't think either are totally screen accurate. Honestly the Sideshow version looks more like a Bride version to me. More of a rounded head and the mouth look like his teeth in Bride.
I totally respect your opinion. I'm still undecided if I'm going to keep mine or not. I might get some mods done but there's absolutely nothing I can do about the horrible mouth.
I understand the negativity part but TOTS have burned us in the past so they kinda left a bad taste in people's mouths.
See that's what I hate the most on the TOTS version, the mouth. In person it looks really cheap and weird. Maybe too small? I actually like the eyes on both versions of them...
I paid $800 for the Sideshow but that was about 11 years ago. I would think it would be around $1500 in today's market. The mouth is my least favorite part. That and the horrible skin tone.
I just wish a company would do a Bride version with a full vinyl doll body like Sideshow. I was really...
I own both and in my opinion the Sideshow version is much better. I think folks on here are just giving their opinion. No matter which you prefer the build quality is so much better on the Sideshow. Both were originally created by Tony Gardner but TOTS likes to cheap out on materials when mass...
I totally agree with his review. The mouth looks like crap and the scars don't look good at all. I really hope I can sell mine and make my money back. TOTS usually don't accept returns.
The NECA looks amazing! I can't wait to see what the final product looks like.
The TOTS version above was painted by Tony Gardner. I highly doubt the version we get will look that good.
No problem. Just look up Garrett Zima on Facebook. You'll know it when see him.
I haven't actually purchased one from him myself but he's in a lot of the groups I'm in.
I'm not sure if he has any for sale at the moment, but he makes them all the time. I would wait for TOTS to actually show the one they're making before deciding. But I can bet it won't be anything close to the handmade quality Garrett puts into his dolls. One of his will cost you a pretty penny...
