:lol but the TA sculpt looks great on the TA figure:huh

not "perfect" but great

The sculpt still has the same issues (too angular, large nose, thin lips), but it does seem to work a lot better on the TA figure for some reason. I guess the rooted hair just magnifies those problems a lot more.

You can bet on it, it worked well for WW (trying on dresses) and they need to sell Barbies, so yeah, they'll do it.

Being set in 84 they could have all kinds of fun with it, especially at the mall. Like her being pushed into Glamour Shots.:lol

I assume that is why it is set in 1984 in the first place, to have a bit of nostalgic fun.

This is nicer but she's not supposed to have straight hair. If this is the TA scuplt?.... geez why couldn't HT just use it with a better hair doo or sculpted hair.

Guyver1 nicely illustrated a couple of pages back how this figure actually is JL accurate by having straighter hair. In JL, her hair is straighter than it was in BvS and WW.

I know getting nervous won’t accomplish anything, but I’m worrying about this one. Such a shame.

Not necessarily, I’ve seen both JL and WW films enough now and I see the thought process with HT and her hair in JL was quite flat and less wavy and bushy than in WW

You can see that her hair was really flat at times

But in WW

You can see that it’s more wavy and tangled

Now I can’t say this is chief result of the hair on the JL version but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was intentional so they can say this is not the same figure as before.

I agree about the hair, but looking at that wide variety of pics, it only makes it more obvious none of them look like the figure in question.

Also, it seems that Dean has joined the hate train:

Well, with WW2 already shooting, maybe they'll get it right on the next figure, which shouldn't be all that far off.

Im not going to lie looking at Deans video made me like the figure even more I hadn't seen most of those pics, In my opinion it looks really good and cant wait to have it in hand

The pics at 2:57 and 4:12 look fantastic. Others.... not so much.
Whatever. I pre-paid, she's coming to me regardless. Worst case scenario, I do some modding or a head swap.

I'm not wowed by this figure but looking forward to mine nonetheless. The one thing that I don't get is all the people saying the BvS version has a better likeness.

Most of us have praised the training version sculpt...this is the same sculpt! The crappy doll hair takes a lot from the likeness and will plague WW figures as long as HT insist on using it. The tiara covering up that furrowed brow doesn't help matters but the big nose and the rest of the inaccuracies are all present on the training sculpt to.

To me the only objection I have at the moment is the mile long nose. But even then, that’s only discernible from a side view. Straight on, it looks fine to me.

We have another unboxing. Just seen this on YouTube. Looking forward to the full review.

It's really strange. I was just watching some reviews of the Training WW and while the nose clearly appears a bit oversized on that head too, the shape still seems a lot better to me and it doesn't seem to jut out quite as much as the JL one. I suppose it could be the lighting, or the way they painted it, but I'm still not sure that's enough to explain how the JL nose appears large from nearly every angle while the Training nose doesn't.

This isn't a perfect comparison, but it's the best I could come up with at the moment. It'll be interesting to see a proper comparison when people have both figures in hand.

Yeah, that’s so odd. I mean it looks like it could only be physically different there, which would be impossible if it were the same sculpt

I guess it wouldn't be the first time they tweaked a sculpt. Or maybe something got a bit distorted in the molding process this time, like we see with a lot of the knockoff sculpts on ebay that appear a bit "off" in some way from the original.

Just put up my review guys :)

Thanks Justin,

I agree with you she is overall better than the BvS figure. However the headsculpt/paint isn't quite where I want it to be, so I will be passing on this. I have also been avoiding Black Widow for several years as well (though the IF one has a fairly good headsculpt..but that blonde hair.)

But again, I only collect hot toy figures I consider to be excellent pieces, and I am not a die-hard collector. If I was pre-ordering dozens of figures like people here, then this would be another toss in for the bucket I guess.
