Best way to do it is to find X amount of people and split the set as you all see fit.
It could work but that's gonna take some coordination if it is a big group. Anyway, I do feel they could have included more on the base figure from this set especially for the price. Then the optional set may have fewer items but at a lower price. It may be easier to please people that way. I'm just thinking if some of these accessories have LEDs hence the high price.

The thing is how do you know what will be kept? It seems to me it is mostly the blades that people want. The market will be flooded with boosters, those big feet, and possibly the jackhammers. How many people will want those?

Very true about the big feet and jackhammers as those are ones I definitely would not display. But it’s hard to generalize about the whole set. Personally, I’m not interested in any of the blades, the whole set is made from vinyl and those blades look cheap In my opinion. I definitely want to display my Mk. L with the big booster.

Oh and there are no additional LED light up functions on any of the pieces. Just an FYI.

See, everyone has different tastes. The shield and jackhammers and blades are not at all appealing to me.

I guess you're the exception? Lol! If it really is just plastic without LEDs, then 200USD is a rip off. I do think it may come with lights. Technically, those blue areas illuminate in the movie.

No lights, please believe it! And as far as the parts that attach to his arms, I believe that the LED’s on the figure will light up those.

As far as exception goes, yeah maybe I’m the exception for the blades, which do seem popular. I just wouldn’t use a blade if I was Iron Man lol. I have a specific pose in mind where I’d be using the big booster, the cannon that comes with the figure on his right arm and the “power mallet” on his left arm (not to be confused with the battering rams) while flying.

Note to EVERYONE, please buy the pack!

The reason, which was pointed out by others already, would be to part out the packs, keep the accessories you will use, recoup on the price.

Personally, out of the 12 some parts (yeah I know that some are pairs) I’m only interested in keeping 3-4 of what’s in the set. I definitely don’t want that Gauntlet clamp or the shield which seems pretty popular. If at least 1/10 of the people on here saying they will not buy the pack change their minds, then there’s a good chance others can buy just the parts they want to display.

Think about it!

The biggest reason to buy the pack is to show HT accessory sets sell. Otherwise they will stop doing them and keep doing unnecessary v2s of figures - the recent Dark Side Anakin comes to mind. Head, base, and lightsaber swing affect could have been done as an accessory set.

I agree with you 100%. I’m still waiting to see if they do one for RotJ Luke since his hair is removable but also the instructions mention an upcoming accessory pack.

Mk. VII diecast is going to be on PO at ACGHK this weekend and I’m interested to see if they fully load it or decide to make a pack for it as well including the BD parts and the Mk. VII “pod”.

nano accessories are cool, but I am buying this because of the figure design. I have no desire to use any of the accessories. I wish they just offered a severely stripped down version of the figure with no accessories, then all the accessories in one pack if people want it.

You know, that is what they are pretty much doing. The figure only comes with a few accessories. If the
figure came with no accessories at all, folks would be upset about that also.

Yeah that's what they're doing but I think we're all a little surprised at the cost of the figure. $400 for the few accessories that it does come with is pretty steep I think. With rumored $200 price tag for the accessory pack we're looking at $600+ for a single figure. I think everyone is still trying to wrap their head around that.

Jeez..... and that's pricing directly from HK? So how much will it be with SS? $300?

I am not sure why, but I feel like doing this when I see that accessories pack and inevitable price.

Fortunately I am avoiding this and that Iron Man like the plague. It looks nice, and if everything combined was $400, I would at least consider it. But I rather stash the crash for the inevitable Hulkbuster re-release.

My guess is $250 from SS.

If HT want to test the waters on accessory sets, Iron Man is not the IP to do it with if they're going to be that price.

They need to be $200 max. Any more and I don’t imagine many selling due to the $407. Or maybe add one or two accessories from the set to the figure and drop the price on the set. I think I’d mainly want the shield and the battering ram arms. Looks like sill be ordering Thanos instead of these
