It’s too bad obi wan severed Anakin’s good arm. It might be difficult for somebody to do the “ I hate You “ custom with this figure because the good arm doesn’t detach. I suppose somebody can just strip it down and remove the arm joint from the shoulder socket :lol

Yeah he cut off everything except the mechanical arm. I know Vader had to live in the story but don’t you think Obi-Wan would of killed his old friend to put him out of his misery vice letting him just burn on the lava bank. Or at least force push him in all the way.

Burnt Anakin could of been an accessory base for Obi-Wan....lol

I concur. And just to think how that one action would have changed everything.

I can understand how it’s both in and out of character for him to not do a killing blow. It was his brother for which he had a attachment. But at the same time I can’t imagine he would have wanted Anakin to live on being what he became. So idk. I think this is one of the times a “off screen death” would have been well fitted. Imo.

Sideshow unboxed this during their live show today (about 48 minutes into video). Robe appears to be same length as the original version. They didn't zoom too close on the eyes, but they didn't appear overly red to me.

Looked good the base was bigger than i expected.

Theres so many plus and minus to both figures. it really stinks the way HT made 2 versions when this should have been a DX.

At the end of the day it boils down to your taste and how you see the character.

I actually owned the original version of Anakin, and while it was nice, it lacked "oomph" if that makes sense. The dark side version just seemed to speak to me more.

..thanks, just watched the clip and that robe length seems to be the same as normal version..and cannot see the scuplt/sith eyes clearly due to that angle. Better wait for more pics of him at SDCC though.

Sith Anakin standing straight on that lava droid base would be at least ~ 38-40cm height

You think Kenobi should have killed Anakin off screen at the end of ROTS? Not sure I follow.

Like had him fall off into the lava or get struck down in some fashion which to Kenobi and the audience are led to think Vader is dead (kinda like the season finale of Rebels season 1 with the Grand Inquisitor , or end of Phantom Menace with Maul) and then cut to Kenobi, who thinks he is dead, and then not return to Anakin until palatine showed up.

Watching him struggle up out of the lava towards Kenobi really was a dramatic scene and great on its own sure, but what options did a Jedi with knowledge of the sith really think this left him, like the dark side couldn’t keep him alive? Or even if he was immediately doomed, why let the person you love the most just kinda exist in such a mentally and physically excruciating state? In some ways aside from the “heroic sacrifice” we are shown in a new hope, I could certainly maybe see a guilt ridden Kenobi allowing Vader to strike him down out of regret and loss.

I’m certainly not finding fault with the way they did it. I enjoyed Revenge of the Sith overall quite well. I just feel it’s a bit awkward of a scene. Maybe the fleshed out Clone Wars and Rebels universe spoiled the simpler put movies for me lol.

I hope you get the jist of what I’m trying to say. Sorry it’s a bit of a ramble

Up on Popcultcha for only $323 AUD. I used $50 worth of pennies, so only $273 AUD shipped to me. Can't get much better than that!

I could not pick one so i ordered all three. Sucks (for my bank account) to be a Star Wars and Marvel fan right now.

That's exactly what I did.
Told myself I wouldn't get BP and Killmonger even though they're cool so when T'Chaka came out I couldn't help myself.
Then who the hell wants another Cap, and what do you know, I fall right for another Cap even though I have the Stealth version already.
Lastly Anakin. Told myself SW will kill me because I'll want all their HT offerings and Anakin was not my favourite character. Obi-wan is my favourite so browsing around Popcultcha's website during the last hour at work, these 3 came up for pre-order.
BAM, all 3 in my cart and checked out.
I think the fact SS would have costed much more for us Aussies also pushed me over.

Regret that I poed on sideshow. It's so much cheaper at popcultcha. Oh well, ordered a second copy of Anakin and Cap B&W. With my pennies and shipping to U.S, ends up being 225/piece vs sideshow charging me 267 each PLUS shipping. Freaken 60 dollars more per figure at sideshow and they damage the package everytime vs popcultcha. Almost want to cancel from sideshow and eat the NRD.

Dammit, should have waited on Popcultcha. $60 cheaper than SS for me with free shipping and no CA tax. Add in the Cap 10th anniversay and Ta’chaka figure, that’s like over $100 extra I’m paying through SS.

I just put ar NRD at SS yesterday..**

You have 24 hours to cancel your order to refund the NRD.

I also wish I would have waited, but at the time I didn't know if Popcultcha would be getting these and if they would sell out fast. I have enough pennies for a 10% off coupon so I would have saved over $150 easily, but taking the NRD money I'd lose and the 5% reward points from SS it would only be a difference of about ~$40 now. Playing the patient game is a tough thing to do in this hobby.

My EU wallet weeps. You guys in the US dont have to pay import tax/vat buying figures from Australia?

MAGA I guess. I'm surprised how available this figure is for an exclusive, I thought they barely made a few thousands of these.

Might have had a low number made but most Anakin fans already have or are just getting the regular version and don't want to drop another $250.
