Wish they’d just have offered the shipped option to begin with. I would have liked to go without the hassle of picking this up and lugging it around the con. Oh well, still probably smaller than the packaging for a figure half the size from Hasbro.

Looking back, it really does seem that most Toy Fair figures hang around and never skyrocket in the aftermarket. So probably a little silly that I jumped on this Anakin order as soon as I could. I feel like Knightmare Batman and Roadworn Thor might be the only exceptions I can think of. But it could be that they have just been two of the most appealing of the recent TF offerings.

Stormtrooper Luke and bloody Finn are a couple other examples that shot up quite a bit.

Luke in Trooper Disguise was available for quite a while before finally selling out though. Trooper Finn sold out way fast. Still sorta regret not jumping on that one right away.

All of exclusives are very cool but I could see this years batch maybe hanging around a bit longer. Everyone who really wanted Anakin has the 1st and most don't feel like double dipping, T.Chaka is not really a main character and people want to save their money for BP and Killmonger, Cap we have had plenty of and that suit was never in a film.
I could not pick one so i ordered all three. Sucks (for my bank account) to be a Star Wars and Marvel fan right now.
Lol. Yeah that’s me too. Unfortunately. I do get the sense that out of all of them, the T’Chaka will be the sleeper hard-to-get figure later on just because of the crazy movie popularity. I think people will be wanting to buy everything they can from it.
I have to say that I’m kinda glad that I’ve lost all interest in the ST and that there will be a new phase of Marvel movies *hopefully* focusing on characters that I don’t feel compelled to buy figures of (like Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain Marvel). I mean, seriously. Please kill Tony Stark. And Cap. And Rhodey. For my wallet! I just need more figures that I have zero interest in to be made.

I think the Cap figure will eventually be the most expensive. Hot Toys is likely making a series out of the first 10 years thing and this will be part of a set. If whatever comes next is cool people will want the complete set and Cap will be long sold out.
Still hard to believe they are making four more Avatars.

Its like ZE's rule: one does not a collector make... but two or more will.
That one has become normal price somehow on eBay. New foreign stock kept showing up and showing up to the point that new it’s basically retail or less now.

I was excited for this figure when first announced but cooled on it pretty fast. Whenever I think of how to display it I see so many more options with the regular Anakin, which will only increase when Dooku (and I hope Padme at some point) come out.
There’s a part of me still wanting this but I feel it’s more about it being potentially ‘missing out’ than actually wanting it.

Lol, oh come on. You can’t equate an insanely popular MCU movie with a Dances with Wolves ripoff that most people only saw because of the new 3D fad. Like how that Tim Burton 3D Alice in Wonderland movie made an insane amount of money around the same time but then the recent sequel bombed hard.
Also, that Jake Sully figure looked like crap.

This thread cracks me up. First you had a bunch of people pissed off that they were selling it as con only exclusive. In response, they add a ship option so people can get it get it without going to the con and now people are bitching about it not really being a darkside version or about it not selling out yet so its not really a rare exclusive. Why can't people just be happy. I guarantee this will sell out soon and when it does good luck getting it for cheap. If i had to chose 1 version of anakin it would be this one. Since I already have the regular release, he will be posed without the robe in a jedi display. The darkside version will be posed with the robe and force choke hand, he will go next to vader & kylo ren until i get palpatine
It’s too bad obi wan severed Anakin’s good arm. It might be difficult for somebody to do the “ I hate You “ custom with this figure because the good arm doesn’t detach. I suppose somebody can just strip it down and remove the arm joint from the shoulder socket 
This is what happens to most con "exclusives". Somehow, many more start to appear over time.
I'm certain this will be the case for Sith-ikin.
If not, you can get the reg and pay $22 for Frost eyes and be more than happy.
I have a feeling loose heads for Anakin will be going at a premium while Frost eyes offer exists.

Sideshow unboxed this during their live show today (about 48 minutes into video). Robe appears to be same length as the original version. They didn't zoom too close on the eyes, but they didn't appear overly red to me.
Yeah, very good points all around. T-squared paint job is also immaculate. I keep trying to compare photos of the paint jobs vs the soon to be release...and the work these custom artists do...it's stunning. The official sideshow pics look pretty great, but I think the red light coloring shining on the figure makes it look a bit more sinister than the actual figure will eventually be, I think. That's why I'm digging all these customs. They really got it right
Total bummer for the CC exclusive about the robe. I didn't think it would bother me at first (on my regular Anakin) but eventually it did.
