I agree about ro being great. It’s a shame we never got cassian and the director.
Anyway, look at the long term plan marvel got.
Whoever created that plan needs to head up Lucasfilm.
Hey, let’s not have any direction or focus at all with a multi billion dollar franchise was probably not a great business model.
Oh and let’s alienate a majority of the fan base by killing 2 beloved characters needlessly and without fanfare while never reuniting them onscreen after 30 years.

Hence, there is your $83 milllion dollar opening.

I find it hilarious that people think HT take box office earnings into consideration when deciding what to make. Once it's under the Star Wars banner, anything is fair game.

Can you provide proof of HT's marketing techniques and choices? Have you been present in a board meeting where they select characters? Star Wars is different from every other brand out there. It is THE brand. Characters we want will be made eventually. The franchise is timeless.

Wait....I think they do. They have limited ability to produce figures. While I think they will always try to produce something, I doubt highly they are uncaring of a films success or failure when they decide what and how much to produce?

Actually I would suggest there’s alotof evidence to the contrary.
Some franchises have had nothing- despite lots of interest. Aliens has not had anything for ages. Batman 66 crashed and burned.

There are literally hundreds of Star Wars possibilities and there is no way we will see most of them.
Solo as a film seems a easy one to not bother will - Lando maybe. The others? Doubtful

I definitely think they pay attention to the public and box office, to determine what might sell. That’s why Poe and the tlj phasma are in limbo.

If HT doesn’t pay attention to box office and critiques, then why didn’t we get figures from Prometheus or Valerian? It’s naive to think they don’t.

I think it has less to do with Box Office than how other figures sales are. I haven't ordered any figures from Last Jedi. I do want Poe, but I bet anything poor presales on Luke, Leia, Kylo, Rey, the Guards and any other unappealing figures I am forgetting are the problem. I also think Hot Toys may have changed their model, and are producing numbers much closer to preorders or a little over.

....forgot about BB9E. After seeing the movie that's an expensive paperweight. Back on topic, I'll buy Solo if they at least make Lando. I expect a Mud Trooper will be made as well as a Range Trooper or whatever they are called.

Yikes on the box office, wow. Yep, I bet zero figures after Han. Pretty bad box office, but it was a movie nobody asked for. It was totally unnecessary. It was a decent movie, but it didn’t feel like I was watching Han or lando. Especially lando. Totally forgettable movie. My kids and I liked it way more than the sequel movies, so that’s a plus. Hopefully this bad box office showing gets kk fired (doubtful). We need new blood to get Star Wars back on track. I bet releasing this one so close to tlj was a bad idea.

Box office will not improve with Episode 9 either (unless it is confirmed 8 was just a bad dream and it starts where TFA left off).

I have 0 interest in seeing what happens next after the dreadful Last Jedi and I am sure there are countless others who feel the same. Heads should roll. Other than Rogue One we have seen nothing like the quality expected from Disney Star Wars.

I want a figure from Solo. I want to have at least one figure from each SW movie but if Han Solo is the only one for the line then I don't know... Still hoping for the Range Trooper.

~30 second of lame screen time ended with lame crash..really ?

Saw the movie and really liked it.

No spoilers.

My expectations were rock bottom and it was a fun ride, buuuuuut my need from figures from this really got curtailed. Ended up liking Alden's Han, although in retrospect I probably would have liked him more if he was a character adding to the current new trilogy and in the end met up with the new crew, but it was fine as a Han Solo backstory. Donald Glover was great as Lando and sounded a lot like Billy Dee especially in his introduction and Qi'ra was fine although she left more questions than answers and no real desire for a figure. Beckett was fun but I don't feel I need a figure of him, Val and Rio didn't impress enough to bother, I was looking forward to L3, especially since K2 was my favorite from Rogue One, but she turned out to be less endearing that the previews made her seem and Enfys Nest was a cool design but kind of meh for me as a character. The troopers didn't really impress, even the ones I was actually hyped on the design and were passable.

I would consider buying Lando, Han and Chewie but I don't even feel the need for the deluxe for Han. I'm definitely interested in where they go with this series but the need for figures even with the designs just isn't there.

Spoiler Spoiler:

That's a Mandalorian suit of armor he has.

No need for spoilers... was spoiled long ago...
