Yeah I'd completely agree. He chewed the scenery and had fun with it in DP1, even with the serious revenge and losing love themes... He tried too hard in DP2.. I certainly can't see how he can get a third innings from the joke..

Which is why I can’t wait for the deal to go down sooner. Imo fox never uses the xmen characters to there full potential unless they are the main characters like wolverine and Deadpool. Love to see a good version of juggernaut but come on. The xmen vs the juggernaut would’ve been amazing.

In DP2 they were extended scenes that were visually part of the narrative involving time travel and righting his previous wrongs and reshaping his future.

1. There's no way two teenage mutants with no tech related powers would be able to charge time travel machine
2. Cable wouldn't take his eyes off the machine
3. XOrigins isn't in the same timeline
4. Killin' the actor who plays DP in movies is not the same as time travel
5. Killin' the actor who plays DP before the first movie was even shot would erase movie DP from existence

You break the fourth wall by talkin' to the audience and makin' real life references. The gimmick of DP is that he knows he's a fictional character, and that's it. The scene we're talkin' about is the character jumpin' out of a screen and killin' people in their seats... while not actually jumpin' out of a screen and killin' anyone. It's stupid AF, makes no sense and shows how little RR actually understands the character and what makes him fun.

Oh, Riddick.

I just got back from this one, and really enjoyed it. Reference to Mojo put a smile on my face, and I liked Cable a hell of a lot more than I ever liked the comic version. Juggernaut was really well done. Domino was great. Also much better than the comic incarnation. I though Zeitgeist was the guy I saw in the trailers, and he was handled perfectly. Though these movies like to mock sentimentality, there was also a real heart to it with the Hunt for the Wilderpeople kid and Deadpool's relationship to his girlfriend. Thumbs up from me. A nice alternative from the conventional Marvel Studios type movies, and the crap DC movies. Something like this makes me hope Disney doesn't get its grubby paws on Fox, and sanitizes all these properties. They have enough!

Pretty sure there was a Bottle Rocket reference here. Anyone else catch that?

I thought it was about as good as the first.. Maybe a little better.

I am not a huge fan of the first one though but find it to be decent but not as good as many think it is.

I thought the first act in Deadpool 2 was a little shaky... I thought the 2nd act was fantastic and I thought the third act was boring and boy did it just need to hurry up an end... it felt like it took 20 min to get to the end credits after Deadpool got shot.. It went on forever.. Took me out of the movie.

Hated the Kid.. Wanted Deadpool to be wrong and Cable to kill him.

Loved Loved Loved LOVED Domino. Best part of the film.

Ah.. But its a film that knows its a film.. To top that its a comedy that knows its a comedy..
