I took one quick pic:

NO FLASH, warm light.

I think the figure turned out GREAT. Another example of the old once you have it in hand scenario...

Thanks for the pics guys! Without having seen the figure in person, I can't really give a good opinion. When it comes to the sculpts I've done, every one of them is full of regrets, unfortunately. This one in particular really, since it was the first attempt at Ford...you can blame the paint to some degree, but it really all boils down to whether or not the sculpt lends to the paint. That's one of the hardest and most unpredictable things. I've been studying Ford for nearly a year now, so I'm pretty critical of the early attempts. :) (even the later ones!)

I hope you guys enjoy the figure! I'm certainly anxious to get a look at one. thanks again for pics!
Trev

Trevor, based on the unpainted pic, I think your sculpt is very good! It is certainly the best Han portrait we have so far. I can't wait to throw the head in acetone when he arrives! :D

I got mine today too. I think he looks great. The shirt and vest are nice but the material is a tad too thick. But that's par for the course with this scale. I think a water treatment might help to make it look a little less stiff. I also think it looks exactly like the proto so I knew what I was getting. Pictures will not do this figure justice(trust me I tried to get a good one and they turned out just as bad as everyone else's, sorry guy's). So no Chicken Little's until you have this figure in hand. Final thought is Sideshow's Han is great and Medi-Com's is laughable.

Kinda odd we are getting ours now, and you don't have one.:monkey2

Shaun, I couldn't agree with you more!

Trevor, you should be REALLY proud of this sculpt. Thank You!

Looks horrible, and i don't mean to rain on anyone's parade that is enjoying him. Just one man's opinion.(just disappointed is all)

Is it shadow and light playing, or are the left eyes off center with the rights centered on all these

The more I see the more I am just not feeling it at all. Sorry Trev. :monkey2

I think I will even cancel my regular through DSC.

...and this picture from zoomaround shows the sculpt's strengths quite well too.

And thanks, Wor-Gar for your shots....it's fun seeing something "new" in the box here again. Feels like it's been a while (for SW anyway)...and good luck with the move.

Now THAT's a good picture! He looks great....thanks mrmforce.

Guess I'll see for myself in a week or so....

I don't think as many people will be as disappointed as they are saying. The figure does look great in hand.

I wish people would learn that flash photos do not do these figures justice. I guess no matter how many times we get a figure, we will always have the chicken little naysayers.

Seems like 1/2 the figures look good... which is about par for the course. I think I'll be happy with the final product.

I don't know. That last shot has stayed my hand for the moment. But I'm still thinking CANCEL. Just isn't living up to Trevor's tremendous sculpt. Plus the shirt is horrendous...

I was trying to take the shot mrmforce too and make a comparable shot with the Han I have at home. I was pretty satisfied with his paint apps and figured if I could get a comparable shot it would give me a good idea of this new Han.
