I actually quite like this. The original film suggested that Terminators could look like anyone and her partially shaved head gives off a cool "future 80's" punk vibe.

Agreed!! Good call on all ...... love the 80's punk vibe also.

While I won't be getting this PF; I like what I see and I like the "future 80's" punk vibe. :D

Apologies to those who browse statueforum as I also posted this there. I know that there's a lot less love for this statue here but I'll say it anyway:

I find this piece to be both alluring and disturbing. It's evocative of not only the Terminator franchise but also a miriad of cybernetic femme fatales from 1986's "The Annihilator" to Ghost in the Shell to Ex Machina with a nice dose of 80's future chic.

I don't think that she would fit seamlessly into Cameron's 1984 film because if it was her who busted through the door of Reese's future hideout I seriously doubt that she'd be sporting make-up and designer jeans. She looks more like a Terminator who went back in time and is trying to blend in with 80's fashions.

And do you know what, I'm actually fine with that. As I said this piece is just evocative in all the right ways, IMO. And not gratuitously so. She isn't overly gory nor is she in silly lingerie or a bikini. Just the right balance of form, function, and classic 80's sci-fi tropes. The fact that she's also a licensed Terminator collectible is just icing on the cake.

Will I buy this? Hard to say, but it's definitely on my radar.

Very much agree with you on all points I actually really do dig the piece a lot more then sideshow's latest Terminator offerings I find it very 80's and Retro with Terminator mixed in. It's also as you stated not so in my eyes Anime like with the breasts popping and making nerds explode inside its just about right. This piece gives me the Terminator Sarah chronicles vibe in a way I can believe somehow this she Terminator is in Cameron's universe somehow maybe not fully in this look but in another way. Either way I do want this if it comes out good from the factory.

Very cool ApeManRyan, thanks for posting. I understand why some fans would be put off by this choice. She isn't a film character and it does unfortunately overlap with SSC's tendency to find any excuse to greenlight a hot chick. And not only is she not a film character but she was made *instead* of such heavy hitters as Kyle Reese (future soldier or 1984 protector), T2 Sarah, and so on. As a Terminator fan since 1984 I get the frustration.

But I look at this piece and can't help but think of that old adage "You don't choose art, it chooses you." I never would have said make this instead of Reese but now that it's here it's just appealing on so many levels and I can't help but feel like it's calling to me.

This is one thing I can get behind with Sideshow some of there obscure pieces have been the better ones they have made through factory then there actual movie stuff which have been hit or misses. I'm one that likes to have an actual collectible from the actual film itself over interpretations and beyond movies but this one definitely has caught my eye and I dig it a lot. I'm in the minority with this one and at first wasn't sure when it was announced but now that I see it I definitely would spend the money on it if it turns out good. We will see we got time and once production in hand pics come I guess i'll have a decision by then.

Love it... Hope the production quality is good on this one. Hey SS glad to see you guys doing some unexpected pieces.....Thank you!

according to Cameron's 1984 film,

Nobody goes home. Nobody else comes through. It's just him - and me.
so no chicks from future.

Can't wait for mine....Cool thing about the Mythos concept SS can play around with the original concept. Hope they cook up some more surprises...

This is like a PF Bishoujo for me. I simply must have it.

Regardless of whether or not my wallet does (and it doesn't).

She looks like a thinner Nia Jax from WWE to me. That's not a negative critique on the statute because I do think it's cool and Nia is nice looking.

How many of you people who are saying this is cool and exciting and different and looking forward to seeing it are actually going to order it?

I will and have already put a pre-order in.

I love it and am glad we're seeing new things from this line. I don't need anymore variations of Arnie, Marcus, or the T1000. I would've liked to have a PF of the Terminatrix, but this is a good alternative IMO.

I am. Already in contact with a sculptor, for a custom T:TSCC Cameron head and Sarah Connor heads. So... I may get two. One on order now. I'll repaint the clothing on one for a custom look for Cameron's head. Leave the original look for Sarah's head. What to do with the original BD head? Why, leave it on the base of course. :D Very happy with this piece. (Imagine if Skynet made a Sarah Connor Infiltrator to screw with John Connor? Imagine if the T-1000 from T2, was able to download information for Skynet's future use. The T-000 sampled Sarah, so... voice, biometrics TCO-ed. If by John touching the claw his biometrics were also saved??? T-1000 heard John's voice. They could modify all for use as a John infiltrator in the future as well. Fun to think of possibilities.)
