I don't know why they continue to release these images of Figures before confirming if they can actually make them or at least they can state that this prop not for production.

They don't have a strong record when it comes to making big scale figures remember the Rhino from Amazing spider man that thing was gorgeous but it never come true followed that up by batmobile 66, BvS and JL Batmobile or the Star Wars Tie Fighter or Millennium Falcon Cockpit.

This thing might end up being some sort of power pose. with limited articulation.

People will assume or ask for things that they don’t tease anyway. It’s a way to gauge interest and generate publicity.

And they have made plenty of large scale items. 89 batmobile, time machine, power loader, ED209, tumbler, hulkbuster....

The Bat too, which was huge.

Yeah that true of the past but I feel nowadays they show more and make less.

I was hoping to hate this, but I find myself loving it more and more each time I see a picture. All I was planning to own from this line was Thanos. Might have to include HulkBuster 2.0 to the list.

While I really like all the bells and whistles on the 1.0 version, I'd be fine with this as a PP with limited articulation and no full figure inside (maybe just a bust). That way maybe it could come in around $500 or less. I generally don't go for the Power Pose figures, but in this case I probably would. Even if HT offered both full articulation and power pose, I'd probably go for the latter assuming at least a $300 price difference.

I too would prefer Power Pose like features. I wasn't interested in Mark 1 at the asking price and more useless features I would pay for. I like the sleek look of this, and was not a fan of the arc reactors on the knees of Mark 1. Their elimination on Mark 2 is more aestically pleasing.

Ok time to start saving and not buying figures that are only semi interesting.

I think you are right. I really hate the design for every infinity war costume so far, but i really dig this one, so i guess i can call it even if this is all i buy from infinity war.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either of the Infinity War costumes but I do like this Hulkbuster and will get it if made.

I think you have plenty of time if they do not even have a articulated prototype good enough to show yet.

Think you're right too. The V1 took ages to come out.
So far I've ticked Thor, Black Panther and possibly Iron Man off the wishlist from IW. That should be enough to pay for HB V2.

I talked myself out of getting the 1:1 scale gauntlet for this.

The 1:1 scale gauntlet is nothing more than a movie prop, kinda useless in my opinion. All it’s good for is looking at...not like a figure where you can mess around with...but to each his own I guess. :dunno

From Budget Stark on facebook.

Howard Chan Hot Toys CEO interview with ToysTV on the Avengers Infinity War exhibition (Cantonese).
Here are a few interesting summary points for those who don’t speak Cantonese:

1. Several figures have similar if not identical outfits to previous versions seen in earlier films so those figures may not be made for IW.

2. Even HT don’t know the final look of the character in the released film as post production is continually evolving the look. This means the character in the final theatrical release could have more or less accessories and be different to what is shown at prototypes currently.

3. These IW prototypes have taken about 1 year to prepare to get to the current stage and are still not close to release as per point 2.

4. The HB 2.0 may or may not have the same opening mechanism as the previous HB depending on certain scenes in the film (Howard could not disclose what or who is involved in those scenes).
