Right on, hope you're better soon dude......so the ring gear in the diff decided to unbolt itself....so frustrated

Chevelles back on the road!!! Ring gear reinstalled with arp bolts (not the grade 5 junk the shop that built the diff used ) new cover on and spark plug back in! Feels so good to drive her again!!! Getting so stoked to start the Camaro build in a few months!!!! How's your ride coming along porkchop? Had anytime to work on her?

Nice, glad to hear you got it fixed and back on the road.
Not a lot of time lately, was up in Berkeley/Oakland area this weekend and in-laws will be back this coming weekend...

I did get this though:

Hopefully that will help with any possible issues moving forward.

I want to get some body work done this year, mini-tub the rear to get ready for larger wheels later down the road.
Seriously looking at EFI sooner than later, either the Holey sniper of FiTech setup with an in-tank fuel pump. Not sure which one yet, still going over my current intake/cam setup which is a bit tricky, just don't want to run into major issues if I decide to go with it. That being said, once I get the steering issue solved, move the current electric fuel pump to the rear I'm going to get it up on a dyno and see what my car is able to do before I go EFI.

It's time to purge the collection yet again...:gah: Which I'm totally fine with :lol

Excellent! I'd say Holley, you get what you pay for and I think FiTech is a cheap knock off...for I tank pump Aeromotive 340 will rock and roll....trans and ps cooler nice pick ups man

Random question- how often do you people claybar your car?

Depends on if the car is daily or weekend warrior. But generally before before waxing/sealing is done. I'll be having the vette ceramic coated, so we'll see if this fad lives up. I've been a Zaino boy for almost 20 years.

Yeah, I've been thinking about doing that with my Traverse, but I don't want to make the other drivers on the road too jealous.

Any updates on the project pork chop? Also any SoCal area people need a complete ready to run small block Chevy and 4sp manual please contac me....selling my Camaro drivetrain

Nada yet, hopefully I'll get on a dyno and get some tuning done soon. Will let you know how that turns out.

Starting your Camaro eh? :rock2

At this point, I'm really not sure. When I had the motor built, I based it off a 383 stock build that got 450hp with a cam/intake/carb/header aftermarket swap. I did all that and more...been trying to make it more street friendly. Got an Edelbrock RPM performer dual intake on, was looking at Wilson tapered carb spacer and spoke with someone at Wilson, and he mentioned doing some intake work... So there's that. It'll be interesting to see what happens once I'm able to get it on one.

Please post what you're doing with the Camaro, I'm interested to see what works out for you, and good luck.

Yo pork chop! Sounds like a nice build...roller cam? Hyd or solid? I finally replaced my body bushings this week on the chevelle and a new steering box...man, what a difference! Now the umi suspension can really shine! As for the camaro...the plan is roadstershop spec chassis, lsx454, vortech ysi blower, t56/tr6060 built trans, flex fuel, forgestar wheels...maybe r888 or nt01 tires, shooting for something like 1000wheel hp...we will see how it goes, money of course is the biggest hurdle. Got a go pro recently so I’ll be making some car vids here and there...did a nice burnout vid on my ig but it was at night so not the best. I need to find a large secluded place to hoon without getting hassled

Only 1000? :lol

Stock replacement or something better for the steering box?
You're getting a Roadster Shop chassis? :drool Man, I'd love to get one of those.
That or an Art Morrison one: https://artmorrison.com/homepage2.php.
Sounds like you've got a serious project going. So many new parts to get too :hi5: I swear that's one thing that never gets old is buying new go faster aftermarket stuff. After this month is over (taxes) I'll probably send out my intake to Wilson, once I get that back with their 1" tapered spacer I'll to make time for the Dyno. That with my solid roller cam and ported heads will be interesting to see... I really want to get the Holley Sniper EFI and in tank pump, but for now I'll stick with the carb and just play with that until I get there. I'll hopefully be back on the road this weekend, rear shocks installed and PS pump cooler. I may switch out to new valve covers & air cleaner later this month for a different look.

Hahaha yeah only 1000 which I know isn't much these days...but I'm trying to do it on pump gas. Yeah the roadster shop chassis is soooo beautiful and I think will really make a huge difference in a first gen Camaro. Yes I totally agree, buying car parts is always a great feeling! The steering box I used was a PSC 12:1 ratio performance steering box and I have to say I love the result.

Dude solid roller :rock that thing is gonna rev and make some great power!!! What rocker setup are you using? I'd have done solid roller but didn't want to lash the valves all the time or invest in shaft rockers (of course now I wish I had). Where are you planning on taking your ride for the Dyno? Really stoked for you getting your ride back on the road :hi5: let me know how she runs once you get running!

Not a joke. I ride a $100 bike here in Japan. I ride em til they fall apart and then buy a new one. This one pictured isn't mine....mine is RED like Kaneda's motorcycle. Yeah....not exactly a panty-dropper but I love riding a bike as opposed to driving.

Haven't operated a motor vehicle in about ten years. Forget how long it's been since my license expired.
