XM Studios Spider-Man 1/4 Statue

I've heard rumblings that this piece is undergoing some revisions.

The 'deal breaker' with me is the pose. It is terrible, to be honest (IMO).

There are so many iconic Spidey poses......why this?!?

Change to this and insta-buy:

Google image "Spiderman swinging" and you won't find one shot with his legs tucked like this:

If they'd extend the left leg out, it would improve this statue 10 fold.

I love the pose to be honest. I do think the base is a little too busy though. If they removed some of the distractions and put the emphasis more on Spidey, it'll be perfect!

They also need to fix the web looped around his hand IMO.....was it ever drawn like that in comics?

I take it back. If they did #6, where it moves, I'd buy it

Actually, of the 7 poses above, I think #6 is the best one. They could use his web and right foot as attachment points to the base and still make it a natural action pose.

The other poses look like "suspended in air" type of poses ....where Spidey would look like he was hitting an obstacle if they attached any part of him to a base.

I'm glad they are ...the original pose was just not working. The dynamics of it just didn't quite work ...and body sculpt on Spidey was off, too ...IMO.

I would gladly take 7 also I think they could pull that one off perfectly. I hope the changes they make are worthwhile

Unfortunately nobody knows exactly what the changes will be. But I’m thinking it might be a major one. I think personally the scale of the base is too much and Spider-Man should be more prominent. They should make him bigger in scale like how the comiquette piece was.

People can say a lot and XM actually listen to positive feedback. I personally think scorpion is the best out of all the sinister 6 it just looks bad ass to me and he outshines this Spider-Man also

Agreed. Scorpion isn't really on my radar of "wants", but the piece is too good to pass. Just awesome.

Good to know. I can appreciate what you're saying about the base overpowering Spidey. Oddly enough, I dare say that happens to XM a little more often than I see with other companies. The character needs to be the focus, not the base.

You have a lot of good poses to choose from, in that list. It's difficult for me to pick one, TBH. I kind of just want XM to do their thing and if they fail, then we move on to the next Spidey from whatever company steps up to the plate.

So it seems that XM is reducing the size of the base and reworking the body to make him look less chubby. Apparently they are also reworking the half unmasked head also.
