Yowza this went from not on my radar to the top of my list! It has been awhile since I’ve felt this much excitement for a figure. Can’t believe how much they turned around that face like everyone is saying.

The throne looks so good too... I love the design on these OT things... but he doesn’t look very good sitting in it. $95.... for something I’ll probably never use... I fear irrationality may win out in this case

I agree the price is fair for just how big of a piece it is, including the light up functions. However, how many of us will actually pose him on the throne? It could ease the burden in that sense for something you’ll never use.

On the other hand.. once this guy is sold out if you don’t want to keep the throne I’m sure you’ll be able to sell it for more than it’s worth. (I never end up doing this either :lol)

Exactly !! It would be really interesting to see say the Praetorian Guard sales volume compared to the OT guards. Day one orders would probably beat total PG orders.

Im hoping HT will soon see the light and focus more on OT and Rogue One which imo is as close to OT as you can get.
 
Deluxe PO’ed from BBTS! Now to decide if i need one or two guards. Need to decide before they sell out at BBTS. I have some time... I hope.

Overhead light will go a long way to recreating the film look on shelf display, certainly will come in handy for my photos.

Ordered deluxe and 2 guards. Nothing else would suffice. Will be boxing up and mothballing some figures in the near future.
 
I'm right there with you Vitron. I preordered the deluxe from BBTS. Now to figure out how to sell off my TFA figures to pay for all the OT figures that are releasing soon.
 
I knew you would all change your tune once you saw better images. I am disappointed, however, that he does not come with his lightsabers, nor does he include lightsaber-grasping hands.

Edit: It looks like they did make some adjustments to the sculpt, including changing the cranial ridges to better match the ROTJ makeup design.

Well, this is the ROTJ Emperor and not Darth Sidious so he wouldn't have his sabers. Possibly down the line they might make a ROTS version to go along with Anakin, shouldn't be too hard for them now. Possibly a summer 2019 Con Exclusive.
