Thank you for responding with the info. :duff

Yeah so not worth the extra cost lol

I thought it was on the Wednesday before the Thursday night preview but it's not, only 1 hour before lol.

I love Hulk... But I think Cate Blanchett looks like she will steal the show in this one... Hope she makes a better villain then she did in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull :lol

Huh - IMO like Suicide Squad, Crystal Skull is another classic case of things not being the actors' fault. But Cate Blanchett looks like she is gonna be at her best and IMO this movie is gonna be a ride - with hopefully the bonus of an IW and/or new BP trailer.

Got my tickets - get a coin and collectible cup and bucket e.g. free food + "7 minutes of exclusive content".

And seeing it an hour early. This may be the most I ever paid to see a single film, so it had ****well better be awesome and have the **** rumored IW trailer and BP SDCC stuff. 3D IMAX tho, which works - this film looks like it has some gorgeous shots.

Thor: Ragnarok voted most anticipated fall movie in Fandango survey
Fans are also high on ‘Justice League’ and ‘Blade Runner 2049’

Even if it has the IW/BP trailer they will just be released on the internet that same night lol.

But it should still be fun watching them with a crowd.

Cate is perfect for this... she'll relish in her evil.

I agree, Marvel might finally have a memorable villain that steals the screen-time from the marque players.

I don't know about those posters. They would make more sense in a Zach Snyder film, because it definitely looks like Thor, Hulk, etc. are enjoying a FLAVOR WAVE from an X-TREME '90s candy commercial.

I sorta thought the IW trailer might get released ahead of Thor - BP too - because Joe Russo did say "soon". But what's "soon"??? IMO tho re marketing it may be better to hold onto both trailers and not "distract" from Thor.

Even if I see them before the fan event, it'll be awesome seeing the trailers in IMAX 'coz the theater I picked is (I think) a real IMAX w. giant screens and excellent sound vs. some "fake" smaller IMAX. Doctor Strange was mind-blowing at this theater.

New clip of Surtur it seem. And Revengers, how lame.

Cool. But Revengers???? "we don't have to have a name...":lol

Man, I keep thinkin' what a great time to be a comic book fan. Lovin' the difference in visuals from these MCU directors - from the trippy Guardians and those floating bubbles:wacky to down home Spiderman to these COLORS in Thor and then to Wakanda and the grittiness of the Russos for IW.
Hemsworth and Ruffalo look like they're gonna be hilarious together.

:blissy

Fandango's set coverage of Thor: Ragnarok continues some rather interesting details and revelations coming to light this week. While keeping spoilers light and details on what's actually occurring between the film's characters to a minimum, the movie site gives a chronological rundown of the order of realms/planets that Thor visits.

Just as in the real world, two years will have passed between the Odinson's last appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron and his latest adventure in the
Taika Waititi-directed pic. However, the film doesn't cover what Thor's been up to in the last two years...he's simply been trapped in Muspelheim. That's right, the film doesn't end with Thor taking on fire giants, it starts there! Furthermore, Fandango reports that Thor has to fight Surtur in order to escape.

After making his way out of Musepelheim, Thor's next stop is Asgard, where he confronts the Odin-masquerading Loki. From there, the next destination is Midgard, where the two will encounter the Sorcer Supreme, Doctor Strange. After finding whatever answers (or person) they're searching for on Earth, it's on Thor's return trip to Asgard where an accident in the Bifrost leaves him stranded on Sakaar and an unwilling gladiator participant in The Grandmaster's arena.

Fandango obviously didn't go into detail on what occurs at every pit stop on Thor's awesome journey and so we're left with a ton of questions. If it wasn't Hela who imprisoned Thor in Musepelheim, how did he end up there? Additionally, previous TV Spots for the film revealed that Hulk will also be fighting Surtur at some point in the movie (see image below) so it seems Thor doesn't finish off the fiery demon lord in their initial bout and he either returns to Muspelheim at some point after leaving Sakaar (with the Jade Giant in tow) or Surtur comes looking for Thor only to run afoul of the Hulk.
