Me too. Despite the current issues and flaws, this is still the definitive figure line for dragonball, and likely always will be, however, that doesn't mean we should just praise the line for fear of it being cancelled again. Constructive criticism is good for the line as a whole.

Constructive criticism is very important but it needs to be put on Tamashii Nation's social media outlets. It's the best way to get their attention. They won't be able to fix any immediate changes to the current scheduled releases but it could be useful for future releases.

Edited:
holy crap you guys are really ripping into the line haha I do agree there's been some questionable decisions but i dont think it's nearly as bad as you guys make it sound, although i do respectfully see and understand your opinions.

Here's how i see it, it's a bit long but thanks to anyone willing to read it! :

Spoiler Spoiler:

It’s definitely an interesting conversation. I do think it’s important to seperate the things that are issues from the things may be more subjective criticisms of new features that some might like and others don’t.

Issues on the 2.0 figures that should be addressed
• Reuse of body parts resulting in slight inaccuracies (using Super Vegeta’s bigger hair on regular Vegeta, and using 2.0 Goku’s body for SS God Goku who should be noticeably skinnier)
• Crotch shading
• Missing out on basic paint apps (i.e. Lines on Vegeta’s armour)
• Inconsistent use of gloss hair vs matte hair for Super Sayans (gloss on SS3 Goku but matte for everyone else. Also a problem with the 1.0 figures)
• Sloppy paint apps (I’ve haven’t see this on my figures, but some have mentioned it about the 2.0s)

Subjective criticisms/personal preference
• General lack of shading/detailing (The 1.0s did have inconsistent shading, i.e. Piccolo vs SDCC Piccolo, so at least they’re being more constant with the lack of shading across these 2.0s)
• Trunks/Vegeta gap that appears in the torso joint (was that to allow movement?)
• Knee caps (why didn’t they use the ball joint knee they showed a demo of and that they’re using on other figures with baggy pants? did they want to keep consistent with the 1.0 figures like Krillin/Trunks/Android 17 who already had knee caps?)
• Joints seamlessness (are the 2.0 joints more or less seamless then the 1.0?)
• Added torso articulation (is it unnecessary? it’s an old feature on many other Figuarts lines but relatively new on many of the 2.0 Dragonball figures)
• New pelvis articulation (new feature of the 2.0 design across all Figuarts lines that won’t be changing regardless of criticism that it’s a useless addition/not an improvement. Both an issue of is it good looking and does it improve articulation.

Those are the ones i can remember being mentioned.

Using that hair mold again for Scouter Vegeta destroys any consistency and just turns Super Vegeta... into regular SS Vegeta... And you're talking about the Vegeta with the paint bleeding onto the forearms where his gloves are attached. So stupid. They should have this **** down by now.

When SSJ Goku 2.0 comes out, I think doing a comparison between that figure and the old Goku mold will determine how they measure up and whether the newer articulation is "worth it".

It really comes down to looks/aethestics vs. articulation. Unfortunately, the baggy pants of Goku and other characters just don't transition well to hard articulated plastic. I do agree that Tamashii had some good options (like the round knee-joint, this is on the new Jack Sparrow and looks pretty good) but I think they want to try and deliver bettter articulation. We'll see when the figure is in hand.

SSJ Goku is the only one right now I think desperately needed a 2.0. All you got is the Manga version and the SDCC version, which has the hair covered in honey with orange skin.

SDCC at least gave a decent version of ssj Goku, even if it does cost an entire months wage to buy at the moment. Imo, they picked the best version of Goku to 2.0 first, that being ssj3. His og is a cheeto and mud coloured mess that can't stand up. Possibly the worst figure in the entire line.

Sure, the OG Super Saiyan Goku joints have gotten loose over the years but it is far from the worst figure from the line. It's a rather nice touch that SH Figuarts chose to base their paint job on the manga colours. You know, like how it was intended from the artwork of Akira Toriyama himself?

But... by in large no one cares about the Manga. The Anime is what matters most when it comes to DB.

And it is the worst figure of the line. It's goddamn ugly.

The sh figuarts dragon ball line was originally intended for the Japanese market and the Japanese hold the manga in high regard. It's what the ANIME was based on.

I'm so glad you told me. No, really.

Come on guys, deep breaths! I think you are confusing my post Tin, I was talking specifically about ssj3 with the issues :)

Better hope to kami his hair will keep him standing without assistance.

Most people use the Stage Act 4 stands anyway so posing him won't be an issue

Dunno why people will choose NOT to use it, actually

I don't pose any of my figures without a Stage Act 4 stand. Some of them certainly don't need them but it's for my comfortability that I don't have to worry about them.

...Still have no idea what pose to put Super Saiyan 3 Goku in. Anybody have ideas for theirs? I'll have to rewatch his fight with Kid Buu.

Major DBS spoiler

Spoiler Spoiler:

When it comes to Super, I don't care about spoiling anything. :lol I only watch it here and there and only was involved on a regular basis with the Goku Black arc.

I appreciate the spoiler tags.

Edited: It seems that a lot of spoilers are coming out for the Tournament of Power which really sucks because it's one of the most consistently entertaining story arcs.
