Mistery solved:) hope you find interesting:

Dear Manel san,

Thank you very much for the message.

And thank you for pre-ordering our Giger’s Alien Head.

Regarding to your questions, we are planning of producing 1:3 maquette line of [Giger’s Alien], [Dog Alien], [Alien Warrior,] [New Warrior ]and[ Newborn].

Giger’s Alien is the collaboration item with Museum HR Giger and Dog Alien is the collaboration item with Prime 1 studio.

Hope this answers to your questions.

Thank you very much for your support!

So hold up, does that mean the Dog will be manufactured by Prime 1 and the Giger Alien by CoolProps? How would this impact quality and price? And are they collaborating with Prime 1 on any of the other pieces? I'm assuming they'll work together on the Warrior since the digital sculpt was featured on one of the promos.

I guess if the Giger Alien is indeed part of the same set, he'll have to stay on my radar after all. Hope he gets a cool base though. Wouldn't feel like the same set if the Dog and Warrior have elaborate bases and the Giger Alien has a simple black square.

Here's the original CP sculpt. Sorry the pic is small but you can kind of make out the length of the neck on the original COH seam. P1 may have changed it considering their revisions.

So I Just watched a youtube video... Looks like the tail goes out way farther then the base profile...

Still a great statue but it makes it hard to display.

The vid that Matt posted (by Shioktoys Collectibles) ?

I just re-watched that one and you're right (my apologies

).

Don't get a perfect angle to judge but looks like the overhang is only 2-3" ? :dunno

Since we haven't seen dimensions yet, are you worried because pushing it too far back (lining up the base) might break the tail?

Honestly that could mean the 1:3 big chap is a one off ><

Just worried about the depth period and that it will fit on a shelf proper.... Also there can be a tendency to forget that a statue has overhang in the back which can cause damage when not being super careful when dusting or rearranging.

Just a minor complaint.. Personally I would want a 1/4 scale but this may be too hard to pass up. It is IMO the best looking Alien statue from any of the film.

price could end up being the deciding factor for me. If this lines up with other P1 1/3 scale, price wise, then I am in.

OK I have to ask.. Is cool props and Prime 1 one and the same.. I am a bit lost when it comes to this.

I mean Alien 3 is at the Prime 1 show but the ALIEN shows up at SDCC

I am so confused...

Different companies - but they have apparently realised it would be beneficial for them both to team up on SOME releases. Just a business arrangement.

I think Matt (Python) was the fella who gleaned most of the info about this - the idea being that CoolProps have official access to screen-used props and/or molds, and PRIME 1 have their own production facilities that ensure higher quality.

As regards your other post - yeah - I figured that was it.

I also agree on the "best" observation - totally.

Seems like CoolProps holds the license and controls the overall line, but they'll collaborate with different companies on each statue based on strengths. So they're collaborating with the Giger Museum on the Big Chap and with Prime 1 on the Dog Alien (and most likely the Warrior since it's already been teased).

Makes me wonder if they'll go to ADI or Legacy for help on the A:R, AVP, and Predator stuff. I just hope the inconsistency in collaboration doesn't lead to an inconsistency in price and quality.

Actually I believe ADI did involve in making their resurrection warrior bust, that's why the ADI logo is there.

Thanks for all the info my friend. Hope this being Cool Props does not increase the price by too much.

No worries - bud - very welcome . . . and snap on the pricing. So say we all.

But if the QUALITY is there, I'll find a way to finance (read "justify") this regardless

Between THIS, a possible A4 maquette, P1 & P2 maquettes (all via Prime1 and/or CoolProps) and multiple Narin sculpts (via XM), the next few years are going to be a bit on the expensive side :)

Guess I picked the wrong time to try to slow down :lol
