And yet when they do expressive sculpts: oh it looks awful, you can't put this in more than one pose! or what was Hot Toys thinking doing a sculpt that's so scene specific?!

A perfect recent example is the Harley Quinn figure. Overall a great piece but there's a lot of complaining about her expression.

People complain and complain no matter what. It's an endless cycle and some of you are never happy either way.

On the money. Maybe an idea is to add an extra head sculpt and call it "deluxe2" heheheh just an idea. But yeah Harley is the perfect example. Ppl complain then when they get it they STILL complain lol

I mean... yeah. Of course Hot Toys only wants money. Kinda what business is all about.

Yeah, you know what, HTs should just make these figures for Free, especially when one sells out and they want to create another version with enhancements. They should be Free.

:thud:

HT doing this isn't new. Did everyone forget about Iron Man and many verions of the Mark III? This shouldn't come as a surprised. Im more surprised by people being surprised by this.

Exactly. Just like when another guy on here said "he had a right to a discount code." When challenged he said "human right." Moronic lol

Isn't that kind of the point of starting a business?

Some people don't really consider and think through what a little r "right" really means. When you say you have a "right" to something, you're conferring on someone else an obligation by putting them into servitude. Don't they have a right to not have to do what you're essentially forcing them to do in order to fulfill your "right"?

Having a "right" to a discount code certainly doesn't qualify as being a big R, human Right. :lol

They should just make an app when you can submit the figure you want, and they will make it for you and all you have to do is pay for shipping. Surprised they haven't done that yet.

Its not like HTs likes or cares about the films they make figures for. None of them are collectors either. They just sit there a twiddle their thumbs until the next movie is made so they can get the go ahead to sculpt something.

They must hate having all that movie stuff around them. Must be really annoying especially when they don't like movies and only like money.

If only someone who worked there cared, if only....

:thud: pt. 2

It isn't logical. This is absurd man.

Shipping should be free.

i dont like this figure at all.

HT just make the normal version in battle version and now its a new figure? :cuckoo:

So for the people who dont have the first version, go for this one. But i dont think there are alot of people who will take them booth.

Really Hot Toys, why a rip-off version of the same figure?

A kryponite spear (Who almost everybody has already i think), and damage helmet....

Hot Toys only want the money, but maybe they need to come with a better figure of this movie ....
Some of the best Hot Toys figures have been battle damaged versions of an existing figure. DX13 T-800, battle damaged Robocop, battle damaged Iron Man Mark VII. They've done this before and it's not surprising they'd do it again. Also in this case while they could have made it interchangeable pieces it may have been harder to accomplish. I can see why they did it separately because it's probably going to be a better figure than if the regular just had battle damaged parts that were interchangeable plus obviously yeah they are in the game to make money.

LOL link to this? That's hilarious!

I received my promo in the mail yesterday but mine in missing a code - I guess Sideshow will be hearing from me tomorrow

HDGuy84:
Why? They are not beholden to give you the code. If you didn't get it maybe you didn't meet a certain requirement. Contacting them asking where it is seems unreasonable.

I think it's within people's rights as customers to be upset when SS treats some people better than others for seemingly no reason. Not only that, but this is a company that has a history of strange and unfair "gifts" ($5,$10,$15 points giveaway). Of course SS doesn't have to do any of this, but why not just be fair to everyone instead of pissing off your customers. Again, SS is not even transparent in giving a criteria for sending out these codes, so it's not like anyone can try and understand why they wouldn't get one.

The customer has a right to feel upset when they feel they have been treated unfairly. Hell, it's a person's right to feel upset when they have been treated unfairly. Again, if SS was transparent with the criteria, I think a lot less people would be upset.

It's called human rights, anyone can feel any way they want to about any thing, for any reason. It's unfair of Sideshow to send to some people and not others. People can feel it is unfair, and feel upset. This is pretty basic.
You, seemingly think that you can tell people how they should and shouldn't feel. You're obviously the authority here. Ignored.

yeah, what was i thinking. Free shipping. of course.

its strange too that whenever they put a figure up for PO, HTs forces me with their psychic powers to buy it. Not sure how they do it? Someone needs to look into that. Especially figures i dont want or care about. I buy them because they force me to.

Once the figure has been made, the person responsible for the head sculpt needs to hand deliver it. How else can we give them feedback on how much the sculpting sucks? :slap

Exactly. People have progressed into "rights" as "I want/give me/I should have because I was born" nonsense.

You know what, i didn't win the lottery, so i am going to call them and demand i deserve to win the lottery. i am really upset. its my human right to win the lottery. Thats really unfair treatment that some win the lottery but others don't. A lot less people would poor if they could win the lottery. The Lottery needs to be fair to everyone and let us all win. man, im so upset!!

I personally don't get bothered by HT's random choice of expression (or lack thereof) on their sculpts, but I think the reaction towards this sculpt is called for. It's a scene-specific figure after-all, and IMO a more stern, or at least determined than the calmer face it has on now would work on any pose.

Anyway, congrats to those who have been waiting for this release. A good figure, overall.

i was just re-watching that battle between Batman and Superman, and there are moments Batman doesn't have an angry expression on his face. And there is also few seconds of the lights in the eyes flickering on as well right after he gets up from the battle when his mask gets damaged. They flicker because they were damaged and they eventually go out.
