1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Doctor Strange Collectible Figure

I held off ordering this initially but caved when I saw his costume for infinity war was basically the same. Glad I did, he looks great.

Wow, this looks great. Every HT figure I have has a pretty straight forward uniform. What I love about this figure is all the layered cloth and that cape looks fantastic. It also looks super cozy. I want a full size version of it that I can use as a blanket.

Just saw this on FB. Wow !!! Now that is a figure to be proud of.

Being a Star Wars collector I just hope all the SW figures coming out from here on in are as good as Dr Strange. Almost as if HT have better technology for head sculpts and paint apps.

And the costume !! Amazing.

What a time to be a 1/6 collector !!!

Don't hate me for saying this but HT got the cloak of levitation wrong. Shape or cut of how it drapes on his shoulders is supposed to be slanted but they made it even. Other than that, really cool looking figure. Sculpt is almost spot on.

Either that or all the bloggers have yet to do a good job with the cloak.

I've been looking at some screencaps from the movie, I think the cloak is just folded under on his right shoulder, it varies from image to image that I've seen. Probably easy to replicate on this figure.

I've read an interview at the costume designer and she said that the cloak in asymmetrical and it was very difficult to have a good screen rappresentation. In some scenes they modded the cloak (folded as you said) on the left shoulder to encourage moviments. On the right shoulder is actually oblique

Put my pre-order in as soon as I saw it up. I was hoping for Steak Sauce 1/6 and I also pre-ordered the Kaecilius. If nothing gets pushed back in the next couple of months, I might have to postpone two to three figures in August. I have a situation where six figures/premium formats are scheduled to come in August. Potential of six $20.00 codes and only able to use one of them.

This figure looks ridiculously good. The headsculpt and tailoring have got to make this a FOTY candidate.

Makes me feel kind of bad for all the Wonder Woman fans who have to see the figure released right after her have such an incredible likeness... (not trying to start a war, just saying)

Cumberbatch has a pretty unique face. But I don't think this likeness is very good. It's about 80% in my eyes. I know that's blasphemy around here but I'd be willing to bet HT will come out with another sculpt in a few years that blows this one away.

I agree. It looks like him, but only a little bit imo. They made him look a little older than he actually is

Also day one preorder. I was convinced just with the tailoring and accessories back then but now that I see it all, it has exceeded my expectations. Good head sculpt and paint but still doesn't beat the Margot Robbie sculpt. No, I take that back. Looking at pictures again....it is as good as her, maybe better in terms of likeness. Wow, I am pleasantly surprised. Definitely not the figure I would have thought to take the lead this year. Wow.

I just watched the unboxing video and man oh man, it's looking like the FOTY. The headsculpt is eerily realistic. Fantastic looking figure.
