Yes but are they actually better?

The bootleg shoes are less accurate than HT's.

I'm not exactly sure where people are saying they're better are coming from.

And put any of your favorite figures right next to the real thing and you'll find plenty of inaccuracies.

Yeah, I don't think it's possible to produce entirely accurate 1/6 figures, yet. You can get really close in some respects, but there's always one or two things holding it back, here and there. About the closest I own is the Hot Toys Vader.

The thing keeping Harley back is, well... she honestly needed rooted hair for the ponytails. And it would've had to match her sculpted hair entirely, a la less metallic paint. Her hair is not neatly kept in the film. There's loose strands all over.

Then there's her booty shorts. They're the wrong material. And they needed just a tad more give in the front to replicate how they bunch up. There's also the inaccurate placement of the belt and the buckle itself.

Lastly, the knees throw her off the most. Maybe future releases will use seamless legs or we'll see a return to older joints? Or they'll make her wear pants in future films? :lol

She's still a good figure, but has a lot of inaccuracies for a Hot Toys release. Some people don't care about the finer details to the extent of others, but this is one of the few figures I can think of where you can clearly tell their main focus was from the waist up. Her lower half is just so mediocre.

I've been reading on Facebook that the whole Cat Toys set is better than the HT figure. :slap

But that's coming from a faction who are sociopathically opposed to the HT brand. Which is their antidote to HT fanboyism, which lies at the opposite extreme.

It's meant as a kitbash set. It's not even trying to be accurate. Kitbashes are oftentimes like cosplays. I personally have a handful of such figures, lol.

The boots on that set look fairly nice. Everything else is meh.

The boots look better to me as they have real laces and the HT boots are fully moulded. The Cat boots on the HT figure might look good.

I was thinking this as well. Also, if anyone wanted the pigtails to be "real" hair you could use the Cat Toys sculpt for that

To quote it with Harley's words: "What, you don't like me? Fine! Don't waste my time then."

:wink1:

It's a testament to how good this figure is when, even in quick pics, she still looks good. Point of note though, you don't really need the pics in when quoting, we know which the reply is and we don't need to see the pics over and over in every quote.

I agree the boots on the Cat Toys HQ are really nice. They actually lace up and aren't one big molded piece like they seem to be for HT. There are some aspects which are off like the belt but I never got it as a direct replacement/in lieu of the HT HQ.
