Me too. Got a June 30th notice. Still blame you for my purchase as I had forgotten all about PC and was set on just waiting for Jedi Luke. :lol

With SW and Marvel Hot Toys' two biggest properties Disney could probably pretty easily cut SSC out and handle distribution themselves.

Sideshow pays licensing fees for SW/Disney/Marvel products and they already distribute SW/Marvel/Disney products from other companies. What would be Disney's angle for cutting steady profits and taking on a new expense?

lol.....i can't take all the credit, someone posted he was available for pretty much retail. I figured why not and jumped on the bandwagon :)

I got a notice arrival anytime from 5/30th thru 6/30th but nothing official...hoping it arrives soon. While it's overly expensive helmeted version is rather dope

Can't do Pop...

As much as I love this figure, my plan was to spend the $200+ worth of Reward Points I have on this to bring the cost down to just under $100 shipped... but I just can't bring myself to spend $300 for this.

Not with the very good chance of reissue from Sideshow... AND a Hot Toys version within the next year.

Just curious, but when you say you think that a Hot Toys version is likely to come within the next year, why do you think that? Even though Hot Toys has released characters that Sideshow has already made, isn't it usually about 5 years later and/or a different version of the character?

The Darth Vaders from those two companies were different versions of the character, as was Boba Fett. The Sideshow Snowtrooper was back in 2012, and the Hot Toys version is from 2017. The Han Solo figures have been different versions, etc.

Just curious if you legitimately think that we'll get a Hot Toys snowspeeder pilot Luke within the next year (even if it's just a preorder). No offense meant in any way, FYI.

I don't know the dynamics and details of the business relationship between disney, HT, and Sideshow and I won't pretend to. My post was purely hypothetical. In other words I have no idea how big a piece of the pie sideshow takes but they are a middle man and that seems a bit precarious considering the size of Disney. For Disney it's a few calls, a handshake, and about 100 signatures and somebody else is out of business. The small fish gets eaten by the shark in business every single day. But you are right in saying it's complicated.

I had the same idea as Wor,-Gar.....planned on using rewards points to bring the price down. I just wanted to see some in-hand shots of the production figure first...by tbe time they hit and I was impressed enough to go for it...bam! It was gone.

I'm still hoping for another run......

Me too.....that makes 3 of us.

With a first run of 8 figures ;-), then we only need a 50% limited run to cover us !

I wouldn't count on a re-release. The first pilot Luke was a dud, this one - if speculation holds any merit - was not widely pre-ordered and produced in low numbers.

Plus, how many figures have SSC actually re-issued? I can think of about five out of one hundred+.

I'd like it to happen since I missed out but it's far from certain.

The re-releases have all been of late--past couple years. The bounty hunters, which make sense as they were finally completing the line. And then the probe droid and e-web, the latter of which seemed connected to either the hot toys snowtrooper release or at least their commander release.

But the thing u also have to remember is that Hot Toys didn't even have the license 5 years ago. They announced it what, 3 years ago if that and first figures were a bit after that. Bespin luke was a one of and not part of the official line. Hot toys has been moving pretty fast and furious with the line There is no telling what or when they will announce a figure and they want to produce what sells and if they even glance at this thread they know this by Hot toys will sell ...

I think you guys on here keep saying it looks bad because you don't have it

Doesn't change the fact that there's been a 5 year delay like everything else, as Rubio has mentioned. They know a Scout Trooper will sell, but that hasn't been shown, they know a Hoth Han and Luke would sell, but again, they haven't been shown. All the exact versions of figures have had a 5-year gap so far.

There are so many characters that Sideshow did so long ago, that logically it still makes sense to start work on those first--Bespin Han, ROTJ Luke, Greedo, Jabba, Boushh, Fleet Trooper, ROTJ Han, Emperor. They know not everybody who just bought figure A, B, or C wants to replace it a year later just cause a better version has come along, so that would invariably reduce some sales.

I guess there's two reasons I am hopeful HT with visit X-wing Luke:

1) they did C-3PO fairly close together...

2) HT is running out of Lukes to make... and X-wing seems like an obvious choice, either that or Hoth.

But again, even if we see one from HT a year from now, its another year until its in hand, so my optimism has a two-year time frame. :)

Does anyone else have a problem keeping the hose in the pocket? Try to resist the obvious jokes here as its a family-friendly forum. ;)
