That's what I'm hoping for. Man, the rest of this year is gonna be an expensive year for me when it comes to figuarts! Just bought Kaiohken Goku and I'm planning on picking up every db release besides God Goku, plus the Sora that was just announced. TAMASHII, WHY YOU DO DIS TO ME 😭💸💸
 
when I decide that I might just quit on this line they show me nappa. fine I'll quit after nappa, but wait now they releasing ss3 goku and finally Majin vegeta and now shenron

He's been teased for quite some time and I've always had a "whatever" reaction to it. The development into that could of been two figures we could of had, or had earlier.

it's definitely a downgrade. before anyone criticizes my opinion, keep in mind we all have our own preferences when it comes to these things. the original prototype, his entire body was articulated, even down to his palms & fingers. this one, it looks like the only part of him you can adjust is his mouth. kinda disappointing since this was my holy grail. Still going to buy it though, just because.

I knew they were going to downscale it, because the prototype was huge. But I still wanted the option to twist & pose it however way I wanted, and that would've made it stand out amongst all the other Shenron statues out there. Now it's stuck in a fixed pose :dunno

edit: upon closer inspection, it looks like the wrists & elbows ARE articulated as well. that makes me a lil happier, but the body, will have to wait for more photos to see if it can at least stretch out more than it is

Yeah, with all the lines from Tamashii Nations I'm collecting, plus a few Figmas, Revoltechs, and Banprestos, it's going to be an expensive rest of the year.

Yeah, the articulation is pretty sectioned off (kind of like Friezas longer tail) but it looks like the neck area has a lot of articulated sections. Hopefully it can be put into more poses besides the one they have pictured with the more limited articulation. Either way I'm just stoked to be getting an incredibly detailed Shenron to use as a centerpiece for my dbz collection

I'm right there with you. With tamashii nations I collect the Naruto line as well. I still need to get Rock Lee and I'm planning on picking up Gaara and Madara. Plus I'm going to be getting all the Kingdom Hearts figures they release (plus did you see that proplica keyblade?? That thing looks tight!). I'm also trying to get the Griffith figma from Berserk to get caught up on those, as well as a few random figures here and there.

Tamashii has been knocking it out of the park though, I don't think there's ever been a time I've wanted so many of their products at once.
 
Yeah; Shenron is definitely a cost thing, the original would likely have cost twice as much and no one apart from the hardcore of us would have even considered it. Heck, I'm still not getting it, but that's more to do with space than anything else.

Seems like all the Japanese websites are sold out for Shf Shenron preorders. Just waiting for bbts now...

Is it really that important to preorder shenron? Im sure it will be released like the others. You guys gotta stop scaring me with all these sold out preorders lol

Some online places have discounted prices for 1st pre-orders. Rather than 9,500 yen, you could have ordered it for 8,000 yen.

There hasn't been a time with so many releases for me. I never thought of a Jack Sparrow S.H.Figuarts until they revealed it this past weekend. He looks outstanding. It inspired me to start on creating a display for him which I always enjoy. Tamashii Nations is creating a lot of options for me and I couldn't be happier.

Preach Angelo. For example, Nippon has Shenron for pre-order $66.44, while AmiAmi has him listed for $75.14. I missed out on both deals since I made the mistake of getting sleep. :sleep:sleep:sleep

Other than having to pay up front, Nippon's pre-order prices have been really good lately. I normally only pre-order Web Exclusives from them, such as ones that I don't want to wait a month to get stateside, Star Wars Web Exclusives, or GSC Exclusives. (Izuku Midoriya Figma for example. Didn't have Mumei GSC Exclusive but I ordered her through GSC.) But if you have the money, they're certainly another great place to pre-order.
