:yess: Tarkin looks odd but I'll get him.

Also, they're making Jaina so that means we could get more EU :yess: meaning Kyle Katarn.

And why does that Luke look better than the regular one? :lol is it the head?

Looks like it'll be more likely I get Count Dooku with Hasbro than with SHF.

Wouldn't get your hopes up for Katarn unfortunately, as much as I do like him. Jaina was the winner of the last fan's choice poll which is the only reason she's getting made. I haven't seen Katarn high up on the polls.

After seeing the full 40th anniversary 6 inch line-up at Celebration I totally get why people love these. However now that Hasbro has officially announced the return of The Vintage Collection I'll just be waiting until next spring to pick up vintage style RO figures to compliment classic Kenner OT figures in 3.75 inch scale.

I hate how there's so many exclusives. It just makes it frustrating to collect. I would have liked a shot at the Vintage Pilot Luke on foil back, but it sold out in Orlando on Saturday.

People are having a hard time with the GameStop exclusive R5-D4 as well. I was lucky enough to get two, but stores are lucky to get 1-2, if they get any at all. Alot of the people that preordered it online ended up getting their orders cancelled because GameStop didn't have enough figures to fulfill the preorders.

Now the Landspeeder is a SDCC with better stuff and better paint? It's just ridiculous.

How deep would you go with this line? Original 12 or OT completist?

I'd do original 21 and then cherry pick my favorites from ESB, ROTJ and POTF. At $22+ a pop, figures like BESPIN SECURITY GUARD or GENERAL MADINE would be a hard sell.

Yeah, it's a bit like the GG jumbo figs - if they were half the price, or even cost 1/3 less, you could get most if not all. But it's that firmly $20+ BS pricepoint that just kills the idea of going all-out with this line, especially with the better 3 3/4" stuff (which was pretty spectacular for quite a few years) returning and the improvement in 1/6 over the past 5-7 years. Just too many scales looking amazing.

Yet you look at the Hasbro 6" line and if it was a couple of notches better in terms of paint apps, it could eventually approach 1/6 in terms of overall display quality. The new 6" Vader helmet in some ways feels more ANH Vader than the HT ANH Vader 1/6 helmet and that new landspeeder looks like a screen-used model.

Yeah their sculpts are amazing. They rival the Asian import figures even.

It's just, those production paint apps kill most of the figures. Especially the humans. Take that awesome looking ROTS Commander Gree for instance. The final product is not going to look that good, certainly not the camo. They already said how they have to ditch that cool silver effect for the helmet for plain white.

You look online at the custom paint jobs people have done for these figures, from Luke to Jango to Han to Krennic, and it's just amazing how Hasbro lets their sculpts get ruined with such bad paint applications. Those talented artists, sculptors and Gentle Giant do a superb job, only for the final product to look half assed. I recall Toy Biz doing more intricate paint applications for their figures in the early 2000s. Hell, Hasbro did a great job on their 3 3/4 figures for 20 years. Most of them looked really good, especially the eyes. You would think that the bigger scale would allow for better paint, but nope.

Yeah, I saw a paint-up of the 6" Yoda head that was just incredible.

Hasbro has done an amazing job with sculpts over the years considering it's mass-market stuff aimed at TRU.

I would have liked...the Vintage Pilot Luke

Pretty dumb question in retrospect. But I agree on the quality of the 6 inch Landspeeder and those sculpts underneath the factory paint on those other figures is pretty amazing.

Such a great time to be a collector. We can all have different focuses but still admire other peoples' collections as well. So many options. I feel for the guys who bought 1966 Batman and Robin in good faith that HT would follow through with the car though. Bummer.

The only reason I bought Batman and Robin really was because I planned on getting the car. :lol

I'm just glad I got my '89 Batmobile. If something like that was announced today, it would never see the light of day. 2011 was the perfect time for it's reveal.

Yeah you of all people got some pretty awesome B89 collectibles before they all but gave up on anything outside of MCU/DCEU/SW. I'm bummed that we'll probably never get a Cassian or Krennic but obviously I really can't complain.

I'm really surprised HT isn't doing Cassian and Krennic. You'd think they would do Jyn Cassian and K2 at least. At least for Krennic you could get the Disney Elite Series one and mod it a bit. It's no Hot Toys but it's okay.

I get them not doing Krennic, but no Cassian is a ****ing head scratcher. It's like if they decided to do Luke, Leia, and Chewbacca with no Han. Honestly, I've been questioning whether or not to even keep my Jyn PO, since she'd be the only Rogue One figure in my collection.

You gotta keep Jyn! :lecture

Even as a single figure you can do Deluxe to represent the main one-sheet where she's so prominent compared to everyone else or Imperial Disguise to represent her other widely distributed promo still:

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

That landspeeder looks awesome for its price point, but I wouldn't have high hopes on that weathering coming out like that in production.

If it's anything like their 6" speeder bike, which was an otherwise great toy -- the silver weathering could look like sloppy paintbrush smears.

Hope I'm wrong, of course.

I'll wait for the solo 40th Vader release, i'm not paying $47 for a 6" Hasbro figure. [emoji38]
See that's what I thought too, but nostalgia man. I tell myself pfff, I don't need some stupid stand, but then I really thought about it and I think it would really tie all my ANH figures together.

There definitely appears to be 2 types of vader; one darker eyes and one much brighter. The eyes on mine are very noticeable and I'm trying to figure a way to tone them down

me as well, considering how to do same to mine. any ideas or success with yours? was gonna give them a black or maroon wash to dull then realized it would end up making them not glossy and dont want that. would nail polish remover wiped on carefully remove some of the brightness but retain the gloss i wonder? no idea but thinkin on it...

last resort is gettin a black and red gloss paint and repainting eyes all together i guess.

I had also wondered about a black wash. Maybe that and then some kind of gloss clear over it? I'm not too knowledgeable on painting =(. I have the crappy "sad puppy" vader and was gonna try a practice run on him haha
