You know, Blitzway Tyler looks so bad in out of the box pictures, so, I think it is worse than Craftone.
Wait, I have one, let me see it in person.

So spend whatever it's costing now to get it when I'm 95% sure I don't like the sculpt? No thanks.

I did not say that. I just said that if you want to compare custom product, compare it to another custom.

I personally do think that Dean's sculpt is better (and yes, I own one), but poor and weird paint and strange hairing on all ACI figures kill the impression.
Coming back to the topic of this thread. Thank you Asmus for doing decent job on your haired figures. I do prefer Asmus' approach to hairing (it is a pity it was not an option for Aragorn).

Well after an expensive mistake i ended up ordering the asmus aragorn today. made a big mistake buying that piece of junk ACI version.
Possibly the worst figure i have ever bought & it wasnt cheap. Brand new special version unopened heres the nightmare i found upon opening it.

1. The body spun around as if it had no joints at the mid section.
2. Plastic tube for the stand shattered into pieces as soon as i tried to place it on the lug on the base.
3. The grey undershirt was covered in pink bleach spots all over it.
4. The belt, all the chepao pleather was lifting off the backing & had flaked in some places unusable.
5. All the straps on the sword sheaths were peeling.
6. The jacket pleather ripped off as soon as i took off the gauntlets they had stuck to the jacket & lifted off the material.
7. The cloak looked as if they had used it for cleaning dirty brushes who ever paints for this company need sacking!

I cannot believe how bad this thing was, instand refund & never will i buy anything by this company again which is a shame as i really wanted some ringwraiths but not taking the chance. keep hearing that no one has heard of any QC issues or any problems with this thing, i am going by my personal experience here & disgusted with the quality of something that was way over priced, will stick to asmus from now on.

Im beyond words mate i have never seen anything as bad in my life, i thought no one could Top HT with crap materials but this is a new low. The sooner its sent back the better. Theres no excuse for that many problems. no matter what anyone says keep an eye on that jacket along the sleeves those gauntlets gotta end up ripping up that material. especially changing hands over.

Thanks for the heads up. Fortunately I haven't displayed mine with the gauntlets in a long while and won't be doing so now.

It's crazy weird because I have a hard time deciding which set of clothing I like better the ACI or Asmus so I'm shocked yours was so bad. I actually have the sets mixed and matched now between the two so I don't know which is which anymore. Lol

haha i was gonna mix & match the two aswell but the jacket was the best looking thing to me but i have no confidence in it now. The pegs on that ACI body were bad, couldnt get the hands changed over at all. this wont have helped stressing out the jacket sleeves with them gauntlets trying to force the hands back on. yeah just keep an eye on all the pleather stuff, its clear it can deteriate at some point. Funny enough the only part of the whole figure that was good was the hair it was flat to the head & didnt need touched, Well i'll see tomorrow how good i think the asmus clothes are, only thing thats bugging me is theres have no detail on the belt like the ACI one.

Yes, Aragorn will be our first Expansion pack/Revisit

Rather than a new head sculpt, we go root hair, but not only root hair, it will be fully stylized root hair, so we can avoid some crazy hair style afterwards.

Top job Asmus listening to fan feedback and innovating with these 'expansion' packs, going back to revisit earlier figures. You are fast becoming my favourite 1/6 company ... now please re-release Frodo and Sam for some insane reason this was the only set I didn't pick up immediately on release

Perhaps they'll offer it both ways? Asmus said "Expansion Pack/Revisit" Maybe that means they'll offer it as just the head and anything else that may be new as well as a rerelease of the figure with the new portrait.
