I was going over the specs on my King Hulk pf and Bane. Without the base, King Hulk is about the size as Bane, so this should give us an idea how big Bane is going to be next to AA Batman, or the modern Batman statue, since both AA Bats and modern are the same size figure without base. They should both pair up nicely with Bane. Sorry for the quick photo snap. I wasn't going for quality there. lol! Funny how I got King Hulk out for comparison, since its a Martin Canale & Gore Group sculpt as well.

Nice! Thanks for that. That's a good reference.

Photo-shopped, dont get too excited.

That's sad. I didn't notice at first, but I guess I can see what you're saying.

Really too bad they had to photoshop instead of just taking a new pic with their display/prototype pieces.

That look's good displayed like that but if you put Batman & Bane directly next to each other they're not gonna look right. Bane is supposed to be much bigger than Batman. Based on that Bane is about the same size as Batman. I would probably put this Batman with a Prime 1 Bane.

I've been looking at it very closely and you can still see Bats standing higher than Bane. So how are you guys seeing it's photo-shopped?

Bases are horizontal while pedestals are angled fwd.

The pedestals are also MIRRORED.

Again, the problem is Sideshow made Batman too huge. To make Bane "in scale" WITH THEIR BATMAN they would have to make him larger, too. But they went for proper scaling this time making him appear smaller next to Batman -- I don't know if making him any bigger would make him more expensive and Sideshow thought about it?

Yeah you guys are right, they did push Bane forward a bit to make him look thicker. It's not enough, he needs to be BIGGER. Who ever sculpted Bane, should've had Bats right next to him to get the scale much bigger to match up better with the grey/black Bats. I'll probably still get it, cause I still like this Bane. It is what it is, boys and girls, take it or leave it. :lol

I passed on that pajama Batman PF, so it won't cause off scale issues in my house. I'm fine with this Bane PF the way it is ...and I'm glad I have the EX on PO.

Hmmm ....maybe I should get the AA Batman to go with this.

Same here. Though they open the PO for Superman and WW again... Tempting

Size comparison:

I don't think people realize, Batman's feet are propped up 4-6 inches higher from the bottom of the base, while Banes left foot is where you measure his height, and not where his bent leg is. His base is only an inch higher from where the bottom of his base is, to his left foot. Without the bases on both of them, Bane actually stands a few inches taller than this modern Bats.

In my opinion, they need a new modern Batman, fully sculpted, with a mixed media cape. This Bats just doesn't work with Bane. He works well with all the other fully fabric dc characters, like supes, joker, Harley, and even catwoman. But with other pieces that are mostly sculpt or fully sculpted, he doesn't match up properly.

I think this Bane PF will look KILLER next to the black & grey Bats PF. I always thought the blue & grey Bats was a miss. The blue & grey Bats is just too big. It needed to have a more Adams or Aparo type build on it. More lean and athletic looking, like he was in the 70's. The blue & grey Bats PF was a missed opportunity IMO.
