Prometheus Sequel (ALIEN: Covenant)

Well as Prometheus this is gonna beautiful to watch.
But man im so bummed about the story.
Prometheus was flawed but it brought something new, now Scott is in reverse and after doing a remake of Alien is making a huge mashup of all the previous films and concept unused in the original engineers script.
Just hope they are some surprises and that we did not just watched a short version of the movie.
Guess we Will never have those ultramorph now...

I'm hoping that this will be as beautiful (visually) to watch as Prometheus. I'm not sure though from what I've seen so far.

I've watched the trailer now about 6 times and I notice something new every time, like the Engineer suits in the hallway:

Surprising that they showed the Xeno and brief glimpses of another creature in the trailer already, hopefully there's a surprise or two that they have yet to show.
I do get the impression that this ship is the same ship that Shaw and the David android took off in at the end of Prometheus, and that David from the previous film is still around and has been experimenting with the Engineer's biotech over the years since. I hope he has a surprise in store for us.

• However, Covenant will continue to explore the idea of creation myth as introduced in Prometheus and the Engineers continue to be a key part of the mythology.
• A film researcher was hired to put together an 8-10 page document about the rules of the world of Alien. Most of the rules came from Alien while the Alien vs. Predator films were pretty much disregarded a different tangent of the franchise.
• As Ridley Scott previously described, the plan is for Covenant to be the first film in a trilogy that leads to beginning of Alien.

called milking the franchise! Didn't Scott say a year or so ago that Covenant would culminate in a direct TIE-IN to the first film? Guess he wants to keep a good thing going. Guess as long as Fassbender's got it in his contract for perpetual sequels he's in. Not sure how I feel about them dragging this prequel **** on. Maybe it's a ****-block move for the Bloomkamp project to get it shelved indefinitely.....

Mostly very good news. I just hope they don't strain this franchise to death.

yeah this is kinda shocking. not sure how much they can milk this (unless we get to see where the queen alien comes from in the next ones)
