On a side note, I got a replacement body from Pop Cultcha that fits into my base perfectly. I tested the head from that one and it also sat with a slight gap, so I assumed they must all be like that to a degree, so I kept my original head.

There is some slight paint flaws that I noticed when I got home, but nothing really major. Just some paint that rubbed off on a small part of the suit on the elbow. I'm gonna mix up some paint myself and touch it up. Will be a little difficult as the suit isn't really black but rather a dark grey, but I think playing around with combinations of white and black should get me fairly close.

All in all, I'm fairly happy with this piece now and it's the best representation of Bale Batman available IMO. Now that I have this, I think I'm going to sell my Hot Toys 1/4 Scale Batman.

One other thing, I remembered I have a spare 1/4 Scale Bale headsculpt from the Hot Toys set. I'm thinking of trying to turn that into a custom sculpt for this if possible.

No worries man, hope it helps. From what I was told, the instructions were to take your time with it, don't rush it, just let it do it's thing and it should eventually come down. I would imagine using too much heat too quickly might have an adverse affect.

You're right that it's sad we gotta fix our own statues, but what can you do really. These are mass produced collectibles and it'll be hard to find a perfect one. You'll always find flaws if you look hard enough. Granted, some of them are deal breakers, such as are statue not fitting into the base correctly lol.

I would imagine a fair few of these make their way back to Sideshow and they simply repair them rather than throw them away. With enough care, lots of things can be repaired without you even noticing. I'm willing to bet that some even get repaired in the factory during QC and simply get shipped out as per usual afterwards.

I imagine each piece in the factory gets a glance of an inspection and as long as foot goes into the hole, and no obvious pair issues, it's packaged up and sent to SS. Oh well, just glad to have the exclusive.

hy ,I took this statue and I wanted to buy the legend studio Acrylic Display Case with Lighting 1/4.someone owns this showcase and premium dark knight format goes there?

Yeah, there's either the odd statue here and there that gets missed and QC don't pick up on things like that, or they see it and think it's 'acceptable'.

If I was to make any criticism on this piece, it's probably the blue highlights. I'm not really a fan. Some seem to have it more than others though...seems random. My original body had it more than this one in some spots, and less in others. Not sure what it's supposed to be to be honest. Would've preferred grey highlights if anything.

I was tempted to get this but saw one on-shelf today in a collectibles store and was really turned off. The paint job on the face was sloppy and encroached onto the mask edges, but worst was the "gold" belt. The paint was application was thin and streaky. You could literally see the brush marks. It did not look metal at all.

Not sure about the belt, but the paint job on the cowl will vary from piece to piece as not all of them will be painted sloppy around the mask edges.

Here is a comparison of my two heads, as you can see the edges around the regular head appear to be painted smoothy, whereas on the EX head they are painted bit sloppy bit sloppy in some parts, particularly the left side.

Thus, you can't judge this piece on the paint job of the cowl as some will painted bad and some will be painted good. It's really the luck of the draw to get a good piece with zero issues.

I would tend to agree that the paint application on the belt is a bit sloppy. Particularly in the centre buckle. Lots of black bleeds if you're looking close.

Yeah, I get that it's not every piece. I was just unusually taken back with the one I saw. Both of your pics above (even the ex) is better.

Understandable, just wanted point out that not every piece is painted badly, in case others on here thought every piece had the same paint job.

Wow must have been pretty bad then. TBH I didn't notice my EX one was painted sloppy until I took a picture of it.

So was the one you saw worse than this one?

Any regulars come out with little issues? Was considering snatching one up for $30 bucks off and free shipping.

Received my Baleman PF today, only my second PF after grabbing the Man of Steel Superman PF on sale at a comic convention. Aside from one issue, it's perfect. The face is painted cleanly with no overlap and there are no issues that I can see aside from one - the back foot does not sit on the base at all. It's a solid 1/8th of an inch floating above the base. The front foot seems to sit in okay, but not absolutely flush. I've tried wiggling it around to get it in more tightly, but doesn't seem to want to go in any further and I don't want to break the peg or foot. I didn't order directly from Sideshow, but from an authorized dealer and I'm just curious, because I have no experience really with Sideshow or buying PF's, what to do. Should I just accept this or should I contact the seller or Sideshow? The statue was sealed and brand new, so I hardly think it's the seller's responsibility. Here are a couple of pics. Any advice would be welcome. I love the statue by the way. It's outstanding.

Okay, I've taken the statue out of the base a couple of times and each time I put it back in, it seems to get closer and closer to flush. If I put more pressure on the heel of the front foot when inserting the peg, it seems to get extremely close to flush, to the point where it's not noticeable, so perhaps over time gravity will take over, as someone else said. I e-mailed SS anyway to see what they say.

Put a little lube on the peg. Also make sure there is no debris stuck in the hole.

But the back leg hovering in the air is a problem a few people have had but yours doesn't look as bad so maybe once the peg goes all the way in, it will sit flush.

I have the same problem with my Exclusive. Since sold out no replacement, but was given a $50 credit. Told to heat up leg with a hair dryer and push it down.

Well, I guess I'll have to credit gravity for this one, because I woke up this morning and took a look at the statue and 'lo and behold, the back foot is flush against the base. So happy...and I didn't even have to lube it up and blow and stick. ;) I've got a perfect Baleman statue. Thanks for the help, guys. You're awesome.
