The proportions actually look really accurate to Chris Evans' body type, the suit is well fitted too, I think you'd be very happy with it

Though they look similar, CW Cap is hands down a much better figure than AoU Cap. You won't have any regrets whatsoever with this figure once you receive it in-hand.

The AOU captain America is an absolutely fantastic figure . You realize it as soon as you take him out of the box . It's quality all around with the magnetic hands & shield . With that said , it's not perfect . It's Almost but it's missing some miner points that the Civil war captain covers perfectly . The Civil war cap is a lot more slimmer but reflects Chris evens body type perfectly . It's literally a mini prop replica . Also the action head sculpt is the icing on the cake . There both fantastic figures !

In what ways is it a much better figure?

Side-by-side with AoU Cap, in my opinion, the overall body proportions, articulation, swappable facial expressions and a much more accurate dark red paint app to the shield makes the CW fig a better one overall.

Unless you're going for the shield-on-the-back look (which looks really awkward on CW Cap), the only other area where the AoU Cap wins is the regular helmeted HS, which has a better resemblance to Evans. The CW sculpt looks slightly elongated, probably to accomodate the gritted teeth expression.

You really can't go wrong with either one . If I had to pick 1 it would probably be the Civil war cap only because of the action head sculpt . If the AOU had the second head sculpt then I'd probably go with that . It's really tough to decide which is better .

Thanks! I impulsively bought AOU Cap from Timcent but I cancelled that order last night. Once the money gets returned to my account I'll probably order this one.

Awesome I'm sure you'll love this one much more, it's got a better body shape overall and the boots are better imo, plus you not only get the Steve Rogers sculpt but the alternate expression as well

Thanks for the explanations. I asked because I have the AOU Cap already and I just got a CW for free. I'm going to sell one of them. Probably the CW because my AOU shield has a small paint chip and I think that would lower the price a lot. The CW is unopened. I wish I hadn't dropped that shield. I'd like to have the Crossbones broken mask.

I have both as well . Inboxed up my AOU CAP when my Civil war version arrived . There both really great figures . I don't want to depart from either of them . The AOU is so well made .

The first hot toy if I ever pre-ordered was the stealth strike suit as I loved the suit and the movie. Pre-ordered it a year in advance bought a few hot toys before it came out. Once I got it I disliked it very much for the flat chest and baggy pants. The Steve Rogers in the two pack is really nice. Last month I came across the Civil War Captain America at a comic store for the going rate of 225. After seeing this in person I had to buy it. It is so much better than my old one. I much prefer the angry face to get him a different look from the stealth strike suit. Sometimes I see the age of Ultron one and think I wish it had more white. But other than that I absolutely love this figure.

Cap was a bit irritated in CW, so I think the angry face plate suits the figure well.

How well does this figure parted out sell on the market? Thinking about keeping the switch-out-mouthplates-headsculpt and shield and selling everything else, as a set if possible.
