These shots right here, this is all I needed. The suit is baggier than I would have thought but he'll pair perfectly with SSC's Batman on the same shelf.

That head sculpt looks great Tony! I'd be interested in just getting that head myself, not sure how much the suit tailoring would cost on top of that but I might be interested in that too.

Mine shipped today, I'll have mine on Thursday! :blissy

Well, I have the dofp one, but was kind of thinking about getting this guy, as I've always liked the brown suit. Cant decide if I want the more comic looking figure or the movie version. Just thought I would see what others would pick.

I prefer this classic comic style look over Hughverine.
But I haven't purchased a SS figure since the GI Joe line.
Back then they were far behind hot toys.
And SS 1/6 scale is different than hot toys 1/6 scale so you have to think about that when you display it.
Unless they have changed it since the joe line.

The blades don't look like they are coming from inside his hands

they look like they always did in the comic books. They come out from the upper side of the hands, and not from between the fingers, or between the knuckels like they did with Hugh Wolverine.

For a comic book Wolverine, they did it perfect, and I am glad.

The movie claws were horrible and jus a cheap way to make handles that jackman held onto, to save on special effects.

ok so just opened mine for Christmas,
I will add pictures when I can . (I am out n about )
the headsculpt is beautiful the eyes are a shiny silver not white the teeth are a little brown but it blends in with the "feel" of the face and what SS were going for.
the paint apps are slightly dark, but completely acceptable and no where near the punisher shade. Think more heavy beard stubble than fake tan.
the outfit is loose where it needs to be and tight in the right places, there is no stretch to the material at all
pleasant to look at but I do not like the lack of stretchy comic type material ( now that's just my personal opinion ) as stated there is nothing physically wrong with the outfit. Just not my cup of tea.
On to the body , wow everything is great , good neck movement nice legs , a solid hefty unit that you can feel the weight in.
But OMG SS that shoulder and joint ... bloody awful no shoulder spin pivot and a dirty big seam the entire way around. I am not a fan of those arms and articulation. Now once again my personal opinion ( I am a huge fan or articulation, I would take that over aesthetics any day
Wolvie cant have his arms lay next to his body, he always looks like he is carrying a barrel under each arm.
Its a beautiful pce. an I am a huge wolverine fan and even a Side Show fan boy from waaaaay back in the day . But I just cant love this. I have to spend more money to make it how I want it, yeah I know that's silly but the unit I got for 400 AUD just is not worth that type of coin

I have the knock off that I have customized and this
I will try and get picks when I get home in the next few days

I'm talking about the angle.

thanks for the thorough review and opinion.

I have a strange feeling with this figure. It sure feels overpriced. It is a comic book brown costume Wolverine which is very cool, but at the same time it feels halfway between a full comicbook version and a free interpretation of the character.

However, I plan to use Hot Toys X-Men head, and I plan to cover the shoulder joints with some black clothe. I think that the figure will make me feel it is a great addition to my collection. :rotfl

Let's see.....

THanks for the quick review Betic!

Wolvie cant have his arms lay next to his body, he always looks like he is carrying a barrel under each arm.

You would too with Triceps and Lats that large. It's unavoidable with massive arms and body build made of hard plastic material. The alternative is a silicone "rubber" body but that's also rife with problems like cracking and tearing from moderate posing. Between the two options I'd rather have a body with a bit of limitation.

And for those that feel this is overpriced I agree, so that why I used reward points and got mine for $165 shipped. Buy the stuff that you feel is worth the cost and use discounts on stuff you feel is overpriced, everything will even out that way.

I think this look good. The arm seam looks pretty cheap though.

Now give us a blue/yellow suit.

Overall looks pretty good to me.

I still despise the head sculpt without mask and can tolerate the masked version after they toned it down slightly from initial examples.

Is the sword plastic? Any reason that they made it red?
