After seeing the movie, for me, Vader is a must have.

I've always been steadfast that if you already have ANH Vader, getting this one isn't really necessary. And probably still isn't. However, I'm sort of fearing I kind of might want him if this ends up being my favorite Vader portrayal as far as what he does and how lethal and intimidating he is potentially shown to be in this film. ANH is my personal favorite look though, cosmetically.

I've always been steadfast that if you already have ANH Vader, getting this one isn't really necessary. And probably still isn't. However, I'm sort of fearing I kind of might want him if this ends up being my favorite Vader portrayal as far as what he does and how lethal and intimidating he is potentially shown to be in this film. ANH is my personal favorite look though, cosmetically.

Rogue One Vader is great and stands well with the OT iterations. ESB will always be my favorite Vader...thematically, visually it really set the tone in my mind of how I picture Vader to be.

Kinda relieved I don't have to think about buying it or not now. 300 bucks on decent gloves for HT ANH was all it would've amounted to.

Yeah, as far as the OT goes, I think Vader was "Vader" the most in ESB by far. Not my favorite rendition of him cosmetically though; as mentioned, I like ANH the best. I prefer the tunic over the armor because I think it makes him darker (less grey showing on the armor) and I like the weathering on his suit. An ESB Vader figure does sound enticing to pair with DX07 Bespin Luke and then when they make RotJ Luke and Vader, that duo sounds just as enticing, if not more. However, I think I'd stick with ANH Vader as my OT representation. Especially since I have the majority of the rest of the ANH line already and my SW OT collection is centered around that. Any other OT figures in addition to the DX07, would just be sporadic ones.

However, if he's just a total beast in this film and ends up being my favorite portrayal of him (even over ESB), I fear I may want this figure in addition to my ANH Vader.

That said, HT has learned they made way too much for TFA... and likely has cut way back on their edition size.

I'm so glad HT has had a couple of tries with Vader to work out the kinks before they do ESB Vader - that's the one I'm really holding out for. He's a character that is so hard to get looking just right. I really hope they do a new helmet sculpt though.
