Just ordered this guy...happy birthday to me. 
My wife is hiding it from me until Nov. 30th though.

I just got this figure, and I don't know if this has been answered. I went back on this thread but got tired or looking for the info. I am wondering, is the "flap" on his back supposed to be glued down? I noticed that on some of the pics the back flap looks flat on his back. Any info would be appreciated.

The flap is supposed to be buttoned down. there are two buttons at the bottom corners of the flap.

Has anyone ever tried shoving the empty helmet onto the Steve Rogers head?
I know it doesn't fit but I would have thought someone would have done a mod by now
I think it'd be great as the helmeted heads need some variance

It might work if you shaved down the Rogers sculpt quite a bit.

Only noticed it because you mentioned it. Sideshow wouldn't replace it. If you however exchanged it the new one might have some other imperfection.

I snagged a new CIVIL WAR head sculpt w/switch out mouth piece at 1/3 what's on ebay, to pop on my TWS Capt. Can anyone show me what that looks like? It won't arrive for another couple days.

Won't fit over the hair with the sculpt as is, but as mentioned, perhaps if you shave it down a bit. Even then, I would imagine it might look more like he's wearing a football helmet.
Here is my current Avengers set-up now that Civil War Cap has arrived. It's starting to get a little crowded in here - I think one more Avenger and I will be splitting these into 2 different shelves.

After months of delays even after Sideshow shipped theirs, I finally cancelled my pre order with my local retailer, and when popcultcha had 20% off storewide for Black Friday I took the plunge and ordered Cap! He's just shipped out and should be here in a few days! Hallelujah! I'll finally have him!
