I was watching all of the movie clips with this suit and WOW! I forgot how much amazing action this suit was in. Fought off War Machine MK1, Hammer Drones, Whiplash MK2, Loki...tangled with Thor...and went through the Helicarriers massive turbine. I can't definately see why this suit is getting a Diecast treatment! It earned it!!!

I don't think another armor has been used across two movies in any significant way besides this one.

Yeah I'm starting to really like and respect the suit. When I intend to purchase something I research it to heck. This suit has some Street cred haha

Yeah, as much as the VII gets a lot of fanfare for the look and being a hardass battle machine, this is the one suit across all the movies that we got to see do the most.

Would be interesting to know just how much each suit did between the movies. Presumably IV, VI, VII and 43 all have their (currently unwritten) stories to tell..

I would actually say of those 4 that the VII probably had the least "adventures" between films as Tony was dealing with PTSD and the Iron Patriot was around doing his thing. But yeah that Mark VI....drool....

I thought I was out of the Marvel game until I saw this piece. BAM. Sucked right back in. Dang it!!! Glad I preordered it while the EX is still available.

Ugh.. I can't believe this is an entire year away.

But when it does come...

So so true.

I just hate the waiting.. I mean, I don't mind a 6 month wait too much, but an entire year is just nuts.

I wonder if they revealed a diecast 6 to entice people to get the mk 1 war machine.

They probably did. Collectors like pairs for completion.

Maybe, maybe not. But it wouldn't surprise me if they did reveal the Mk6 earlier than they planned to in order to increase WM Mk1 PO's. Hence the really long 1 1/2 year wait :dunno

All I know is that I wouldn't be getting the dc WM Mk1 if there were no indications for a dc Mk6.

I probably would've bought the diecast war machine no matter what.. But the reveal of the mark 6 was definitely more incentive.

As I was debating between getting the Mk1 or Mk3 I had thought that an announcement for the Iron Man Mark VI would seal the deal for the Mark 1 War Machine, but in the end it didn't. I ended up preordering Iron Man Mark VI still being very undecided about which War Machine I wanted for a good while. I have the WM Mk2, and while I really like it I was looking to replace it with the 1 or 3 because I like WM bulkier, and in the end I think I picked the Mk3 because it seemed like a good blend of the best of the Mk1 and Mk2. I mostly display my War Machine with the Mk33 or some sort of an Avengers group, so having one to go with Iron Man Mark VI wasn't everything to me; even though that would be really cool. I also didn't think I would appreciate the Iron Man Mark VI any less without War Machine Mk1 because Iron Man Mark VI's crossover appeal appearing in Avengers.

I bought the WM D/C MK1 because I always wanted to have that figure and now will have all 3 WMs.

The MK6 simply grew on me. The purchase had to do with the fact that I saw how important the suit was and how many awesome battles the suit was in...i have really fallen in love with the design...the way the suit design is going 45 and beyond, I doubt I'll be interested in another IM suit.

I don't have a large HT collection, but War Machine Mark I is one that I always wanted. I preordered the DC version right away and was blown away by it when it arrived. Now I'm debating getting the VI to pair it with. As others have mentioned, this armor is one of the few we see in more than 1 film (the Mark VII makes a brief appearance in IM3) and it gets a lot of action, so it's definitely an iconic suit, but I never loved the design. The silver parts didn't make sense to me when they were still there in Avengers. The fact it has an Avengers Base and not one from IM2 is killing me right now.

My top 3 suits are the MK3, 43, and WM MK1...and I too was never big big on the 6. I know that there are HUGE fans of that suit. But it really has grown on me. Watched the clips from film and design pictures....I am a big fan of the more robotic or industrial looking IM suits and the 6 is definately that. I don't like the way the suits are going...so I stepped back into the past and went for a suit that really fits what I like in an IM suit.

Our top 3 is similar. 7, 43, and 46 are competing for the 3 spot behind the 3 and WM1. I hate the armor from the comics the 46 is based on, but it looks amazing on film and in motion, so that version really grew on me.

From the promo pics, how do people thimk the leg articulation will work? Pull down joints like the diecast WM MK1 (outstanding articulation on him) or the butt button like the 45 and a bunch of other suits? I'd be super excited if it was the pull down joint becuz that's a way better design to me. You can have one leg extended with greated range while the other isn't and that just makes for more versatile posing. What do others think though?
