Epic collections jedi18 :clap Love the full Avengers shelf and the Villains one but the SW displays are amazing, love all the bases joined together :clap

Cheers guys. I love the SW bases too! They are a better design over the Marvel bases and allow a lot more freedom to position the figures. Kinda running out of room now!

The common belief is that you typically want to space your figures out a bit when displayed, so as to prevent clutter and it provides a nice view of each figure. However, this just shows that a display can look awesome when you connect all the bases together. Really like the Marvel display in the first picture and the Star Wars display in the fourth and fifth picture. :clap

Makes it seem as if they're all really standing next to one another on the same floor.

I think it's more about how it is executed than about rules about how many are grouped together. Jedi18 is a great example of a large group displayed and posed well. one think I like about these forums is that we can learn from one another how we might better display our figures.

Haha "common belief", "rules". Not to sound insulting or anything, I just got a chuckle out of it.

Let's all just enjoy them and group/pose however we like.

Yeah one might be scrutinized by people. So what?

At the end of the day, its all about the collector's enjoyment and how they want it to look.

Been lurking the forum for a while and thought this would be a great place to make my first post! So many great collections in here!
This is how I have my collection set up right now. Also have a first avenger cap. Vision is coming this week so wil be reposing the crew again soon.:)

:exactly:

To clear anything up, I wasn't stating that I believe spacing figures out is the route to go when it comes to displaying them. Perhaps I worded that incorrectly. I was attempting to convey that many people seem to space their figures a bit when they display them, presumably to circumvent clutter and to allow for a nice view of the figure at various angles. Heck, even I don't space them out. I cram as many as I can fit.

It's very seldom you see a display where the figures are all grouped together and it looks fantastic. So as you mentioned, Jaymas, it is indeed more about execution in that regard. I agree that you can learn many things on here from other collectors. I can't begin to count how many ideas I've used or poses I've "stolen" from other collectors on here. :lol

My only belief is that there is no one universal "correct" way to collect.

Thanks for the compliments. I would love to go for a shelf per figure but I just don't have the room , hence my tight fit display.
I would like to thank all the members who post their pics as I have pretty much robbed your poses! Thanks for the inspiration.

This is my Iron Man collection so far. I collected Iron Man comic books as a kid and this is my impetus to collect more than the MCU. Iron Man 2008 is my favorite film, I think RDJ IS the definitive Tony Stark, and the Mark 3 suit is my favorite suit and favorite IM figure thus far. The figure isn't perfect, but I found posed up right it looks phenomenal. Another point is that the head sculpt looks ideal with the suit given the "proper" proportions of the actor RDJ (I find my 43 looks a bit too tall and long for it to realistically have RDJ in the suit). I like the Mark 3 as it reminds me a lot of the comic book version. The neo-classic suit is my favorite suit from the comics (tho I collected much after this suit was retired) and again the Mark 3 sorta reminds me of that.

I have the War Machine Diecast Mark 1 and 3 coming in soon. I think the WM suits are amazing with the amount of diecast, poseablity for the size and accessories. After that I'll be done with IM. But the figures are great...I feel like I get a DX experience with the Diecast figures and what HT has done engineering wise for many of the figures is great.
