I think original was $200.00 and that was 5 1/2 years ago. so $250.00 at least. Was a great piece solid polystone this one needs to be polystone also.

I somehow don't think you're wrong. I wouldn't put it past them to price it higher. Hopefully if it is priced higher it is made of polystone or something similar to justify it.

I think you meant Executor bridge, yea forgot about that one. Might have been too big and expensive to make. Can't blame Sideshow for these increases inflation has been high for last 10 years. I started collecting in 2007 and Gentle Giant statues cost around $100.00 and they now cost $300.00

Sideshow's current average figure price (based on most recent releases) is around $210, three times the inflation-affected price calculation.

those statics are a complete crock. The government re index the inflation rate and unemployment rate in the 90s to cover themselves. From that point on they could just cook the books all they like.

I don't know the statistics but there's no denying that Sideshow pricing has increased at a rapid rate over a short period of time. It's pretty evident just looking at prices of some of their recent figures. For instance Scout Trooper went up in 2014 and was $189, Tie Pilot was in January of 2015 and was $199, and the AT-AT Driver in fall of 2015 and was $209. So in the span of a year fairly basic figures went up by $20. Plus look at the two pilot Luke figures. The first was $239 and the second $269 and they were only about a year apart.

Yeah I was just naming some recent examples but really it's ridiculous when you look at their pricing. They went from figures being mostly under $200 to pretty much every figure being over in a short span.

Hot Toys haven't gone up that fast. There are examples of them having higher priced items but it's usually for characters that command the price (Joker and Iron Man are good examples) but really for the most part the increases they've had have been smaller increments over a longer time.

So when you bought a Toyota Corolla ten years ago, you paid 1/4 the price of today? And yeah, a computer - those are totally four times what they were ten years ago. I won't go on.

Ten years ago Luke Jedi was $50, today Luke Snowspeeder is $270. Sideshow's headsculpts are better (well, that's probably open to debate) and Sideshow's bodies are better (well, that's probably open to debate) but in many cases the outfits and accessories are close to the same quality as today's figures. And today's figures are only five and half times the cost.
