I really liked the look of Arkham Origins Bats but don't like the look of the P1 statue at all.

Is there any other P1 statue that's had such a lukewarm reception? I had a good look at it at Comic-Con, and it seems really nice, but it's just so similar to other P1 Bats statues. There's nothing to make it stand out.

True. I guess I shouldn't make such emphatic statements. Would be a shame if it didn't turn out great.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with the AO Bats. Too similar to the AK Bats in pose and tone. I don't want to see a bunch of 1/3 Bats statues in basically what amounts to the same pose. Hopefully, the Finch, Lee, and AA/AC Bats will all have different poses. The Miller and Noel Bats certainly had a different pose than AK and AO Bats so I have hope the other will too.

I can't think of another Prime 1 statue that hasn't had much hype behind it. Though I guess Robin and both Bane statues don't seem to have too much buzz surrounding them.

Even just a slight alteration to the pose, like this. Preferably with the head not tilted down so far though.

Well I cancelled.... the piece looks great but 1/3 scale will just be out of place in my collection. Again if I did not love my Modern Bats PF so much I would get this but until something comes by and beats that Pf I don't think I will be adding an more Bats to my collection. Hulk is the only repeat offender allowed in my collection :lol

Can't wait to see the freaks in hand pics and video reviews....

Yeah totally looks like a ****ing hasbro POS. Geez p1 what is wrong with you guys?!? You need a guy like spartan to set you guys straight.

The head dumb***. Body is fine. The protoype had a less glossy head. I own the other two so i have a right to an opinion. [emoji3]IMG_3881.JPG

I looked at the pics posted the last few pages, and is the head really all that shiny, or is it the lighting from directly above, be it daylight or electrical lights?

I actually watched a review of the first Prime 1 bats and they said that it came across more "toy" like for some reason. they said the face sculpt was amazing but that the rest looked a bit too much like a toy....

I saw a Legacy scale Darth Maul at a comic shop and thought the same thing... It had a doll / toy like look too it... Weird. One would think the bigger the better detail but it just took on a look that did not come across as an expensive collectible. So when I heard that about the Prime 1 bats I wondered if that the larger size created that issue.

Of course most that have received it love it... But I noted the same thing in pics and videos... I thought the body looked a little cheap and toy like. But will admit I have never seen one in person.

There's nothing toy like about the arkham bats and arkham knight pieces except for the fact that they are video game/comic book designs. If anything, the simple, monochromatic color scheme of the noel bats may hold it back, but I'm sure it's still better painted than your average SS piece.

Im actually genuinely curious now..do you think XM pieces are toylike? Very simple yet vibrant color schemes on a lot of those. Open question to any one on this thread.

I have 2 XM pieces (Mags and Thanos) and they look incredible. Nothing cheap or toy like about them. I don't own anything from Prime 1 yet. Deathstroke won't be in for a few more months. However, all the pics I have seen of him (along with other Prime pieces) look like works of art to me. I have seen some pieces I thought look doll like (SSC Elektra PF) in the past, but none recently come to mind. Most of the statues I see getting released nowadays look pretty amazing IMO.
