I just opened Goldie. I have some minor issues. Sorry for sideways pics.

-smudge/scratch on right shoulder
-scratch on left gauntlet
-weird paint lines on uni-brow portion of helmet

I contacted Sideshow. I'm hoping for some credit towards a future purchase. It's too cool to just return.

Well my wait list converted for the gold Stormtrooper, I think I'm going to have to cancel though. Too many people are having issues with this figure. I also don't want to get someone's returned figure.

So I can see many having an issue with STs too.

Welp, turns out they don't have spares. Again the rep I spoke too lied or had no clue. So they offered me the standard $25 credit which I kindly countered with what are my other options?

I got an email the other day that my preorder won't take effect as they ran out. Also got a $25 voucher for other storm troopers.

Was kinda bummed. But when I see the quality issues maybe it was a good thing ? I'll buy Rogue one troopers instead !!!

I heard back from Sideshow on the issue with my figure - it'll be the whole replacement / destroy the original thing, so at least it'll be addressed.

SS sending me a replacement helmet for gold trooper. Offered me credit first but I asked again for a replacement helmet.

I sent an exchange request Monday but haven't heard back yet. I have only had 2 other QC issues with SS and that was Selina Kyle's goggles years ago and my QS Boba was missing the knife accessory. That one I got from AE so it took a while to resolve.

I just received my Estimated Item Arrival Notice email this morning, I got excited since it will be my first trooper but I'm on the fence after seeing these pics. Can anyone who had theirs arrive perfectly share some pics?

I really want one but it'll cost me $40 for shipping to Australia, should I bite the bullet and hope mine turns up fine? 7 more days to decide..

none arrived better than some i have seen on here, i own two other regular OT troopers and those have tight armor and are pristine. my gold one had the knee off int he box which is no big deal as it can be glued back into place. but what i do not like is the butt armor is very loose and almost not attached i messed with it but still could not fix it, also he has small scuffs on the top of his helmet that cannot be noticed unless examining it, and also like a small black paint swipe on his left shoulder armor. the shoulder armor as well is not on correctly and doesnt seem to fit like the original troopers. the helmet unibrow on mine you can also tell was painted its ok just not sharp. the other OT troopers have a rubber piece glued to the unibrow and is much more convincing. to me they cut corners with this one. it looks cool when on display as it glistens but i am not setting him up with my others in the collection cause it just doesn't go. I hope you're a arrives ok

You should tell Sideshow to check your trooper before sending. They should be doing this anyway. But wouldn't hurt. Then you'll be sure your $40 isn't for nothing.
