I got my exclusive Kirk. Pretty impressed with the quality. Very close to Hot Toys. If Hot Toys even tried to make Star Trek figures, there is only very little to improve on. Mainly in the look of Kirk. Hot Toys does something with the paint to bring out more realism.
However with this figure, I decided that I'm out unless they make both TV and movie Khan. Which I'm really hoping for. I'm not sure which costume I want TV Khan in though. And of course I'll get the movie Kirk.
But QMX isn't going to get me in the gotta get them all trap. If I get Spock, then I have to get McCoy. Then if I get Sulu, I'll need Chekov. At that point I might as well get Scotty and Uhura. As much as I like Star Trek at $200 a piece that's pushing it. I guess they will release Kirk's chair, which I want. The only thing missing will be the actual Bridge. At 1/6 scale I don't think that's happening though.

I agree completely! They look great even when posed right next to Hot Toys figures. It's impressive, especially considering I think that Kirk and Spock are only the second and third 1/6 figures QMX has made. The sculpts look great, the bodies capture the different builds Kirk and Spock have, and the tailoring of the costumes is perfect. The pattern, construction and the materials used for the uniforms create an amazingly accurate 1/6 replica of how the actual uniforms looked and were made. The details of the uniforms are spot on, the only thing that is missing (and you wouldn't want it in that scale anyway) is the hidden zipper on the shoulder. Finally, the details of the accessories are amazing too.
Kahn would be awesome, and they have several different costumes to chose from just from the show. He wore a lot of different costumes for just being in one episode. There is the gold sequined like shirt he wore as the formal dinner and in McGivers quarters, the red overalls he wore during the Enterprise take over, the blue medical overalls, a red Starfleet uniform during his trial, not to mention what he was wearing when in hibernation when they found him. My choice would be the gold shirt or the red overalls. The gold top he looks more noble, but more action took place in the overalls. And then you have movie Kahn, but honestly I think I might like a TV show one more.
I have Spock too and don't feel I have to get McCoy, though I think I will. The trinity of interactions between those three characters capture much of the charm of the show. Still, I have Kirk and Spock posed together and the two look like a nice 'complete' set on my shelf. I'll get McCoy because I want to get him, not because I feel I have too because I have Spock.
I do agree though if I get Sulu, I'll "need" Chekov and once you have those two you feel like you might as well get Uhura too. So I don't plan on getting Sulu and setting off the dominoes. It would be possible for me to get Scotty without feeling I 'had' to get the others though. It might be nice to have a character in a red uniform to add contrast and I feel like I could get him if I wanted him without setting off the need to "get them all" the way getting Sulu would for me.

I plan to get movie Kirk and Spock too, but no others. The only others I would consider would be Bones and Scotty, but ONLY if they came in their working uniforms (sickbay and engineering uniforms) rather than just the red standard uniforms like Kirk and Spock. Those uniforms not only serve those characters better, but provide a far more interesting display when posed together in a way that shows off the richness and depth of the costume design for those films.

Apart from the poster above who says his kirk is inbound, but doesn't say where from, most of us have gone with you. Are you still on course to receive them today?

As far as I'm aware they are, the problem is I have tracking information but it does not give any helpful details, the freight forwarder informed QMx they will be with me today but I received an email early hours mentioning that customs have stopped them at Heathrow.
They are all legitimate licensed figures with the correct Taxes paid and all the right paperwork so I cannot see them being held long at all.
I am going to make phone calls this morning to see what is going on. I actually paid extra to get them here by plane to get them in everyone's hands quicker which is why maybe Forbidden Planet are showing a Sept 30th release?

Forbidden planet often 'Scotty' their release dates, and it always let's them down in the end and they are, more often than not, the last retailer to receive stock. Although I won't lie to you, I am starting to worry. This is my first order with an Indy retailer and I am usually prone to think the worst. Not your fault at all but I am a worrier by nature.....

Oh there is absolutely no need to worry, it's not unusual for these things to happen at all. They are at London Heathrow and I am sure they will be here before we know it . Importing can be a gruelling task. Unfortuantly its not as simple as sending an M+S voucher to old Nan up the road via Royal Mail 
These particular figures have had to pass through three airports, checked at each one (Security is high at the moment) and then be signed off. Unloaded then Loaded and all the time the freight forwarder is organising times for transport etc.
As far as I am aware NO Uk retailer has these yet. Do not worry, they will come

Edit - I have just got off the phone to the company that are collecting them from London Heathrow to bring them here. They have cleared customs and all is ok. They are getting all relevant paperwork together and providing there is no issues they have assured me they will be with me tomorrow!
