I just hope if it is a mediocre film that Leto does a good job as Joker.

To me BvS was okay but I liked Affleck's performance as batman enough to justify buying his HT figure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Critics seem to rip DC films. If it was a Marvel movie I'm sure they would love it. I'm seeing it Thursday so I'm holding out for my own opinion

and dc fans seem to be in delusion??

MCU is doing far better than DC's universe.

for the record, I think the TDK trilogy is best, I don't even consider any of the marvel movies in comparison.

I agree, TDK is probably one of my favorite superhero movies out there.

But Marvel has been killing DC in the movie department lately...

As long as I like Letoker l'll be happy and it'll justify getting this figure. It's all I really care about...not Harley, Deadshot or even the story. :lol

Now, if I end up liking the film, but hating Joker, then...? ...:dunno

DC started with movies too late with too little. Now they are eager to catch up with Marvel, but they are failing. At least with BvS. Finger crossed SS will break their bad luck. As a fan of any comics movie i hope for it.

The Marvel flicks are doing better that's a fact but they are NOT better films, there's a big difference.

Maybe now that SS is getting skewered as well DC will finally rethink its movie making stance and we'll get some decent character designs in upcoming movies instead of abominations like this.

I attended an advanced screening of Suicide Squad last night and absolutely loved it. Go see it for the standout performances alone if the mixed critical response is turning you off :) Will Smith is phenomenal as Deadshot. Margot is pitch perfect as Harley (being fans of the BTAS...her bits had my friend and I smiling from ear to ear throughout the film). Moreoever, Leto's steals every scene he's in (very much like Ledger did). We're collectors here and you guys are going to want to add the current SS figures up for sale to your collections after watching the film. I'm confident in saying that. Here's something to excite you: expect costume surprises, hero cameos and a mid-credits scene.

EDIT: Oh, and The Joker DOES NOT (and I really mean this) have a "standard" costume in the film, so if you're waiting to see the film to decide, coming to a decision is only going to get tougher. I'd say the black tuxedo and the silver jacket+purple dress shirt underneath get the most screen-time...more or less of the same screen-time too...definitely longer, more memorable sequences than the others...

The white tuxedo version from the nightclub+batmobile chase gets a nice but lesser bit. Purple coat and Arkham asylum version are unfortunately the least if I'm remembering correctly (we barely see him in that straight jacket guys). The man is constantly changing lol Hot Toys struck a goldmine with Leto's Joker. Wait until you the see the film for other looks. Enjoy guys!

Good to hear a fans perspective! Glad to hear the positive things. I don't get sucked into "professional" critic reviews.

Interesting...

*looks at Joker collection and sees the reserved spot for the Leto doll*

Great to here! I knew it would come down to Black Tux and Silver Jacket. I want to see a Black Tux but man critics are showing no mercy when it comes to these DCEU movies. I loved Batman v Superman and they bashed the hell out of that movie. I'm sure I'll love SS. One thing that sucks is I love the Purple Coat Version but it does seem like he's wearing it for a scene or 2

DC has The Dark Knight trilogy and Watchmen Director's Cut under their belt but some Marvel fans like to think that they never happened :wink1: those films, especially Nolan's run with Batman, are unparalleled IMO. BvS ultimate cut kicks ass too but I don't want to get into this argument here

I watched the Ultimate cut without having seen the original cut and still thought the movie was pretty bad.

I mean the Dark Knight is better than any film marvel has put out. But Marvel has put out far more quality movies than DC. These recent DC movies are also laying the ground work for many movies to come and it hasn't been very promising.

sigh what.

they have only 3 movies out, they had to make them work. but all seem to have the same faults.

marvel has some mediocre movies also, but they also have ones that are good. DC universe has 0 movies so far that instill any trust.

You can't just come out the gate falling like DC is right now.
