Captain, Captain. From The Fwoosh.

He is most sexcellent, I cannot deny. Wow.

The cleaner version looks too much like the AoU Cap color wise. At least with the Battling version you get a unique shield and base. Also I was never planning on switching out the mouth plates so no loss there.

I'm the opposite. While BD figures look cool and are quite detailed, I'm personally not the biggest fan of them because they tend to be too scene specific, unless for the entire duration of a film a character's suit was BD. I feel clean versions represent a suit in its finest form and show it off a bit better to give you a better sense of what it actually looks like.

I'm also generally not a fan of diorama bases because even though while some are cool, they essentially force you to have to pose the figure in a certain way depending on how the objects on the base are configured. On a flat base, you're essentially free to pose the figure however you like and aren't hindered by any objects on the base that may cause certain poses to not be feasible.

Well..... good thing we have plenty of choices, to make everyone happy! I missed AoU Cap, so I am glad to be able to get this one.

I wont be switching mouth-plates either, I want him calm and noble.

:exactly:

I have AoU Cap to go with my AoU collection, but I got this version of CW Cap also. Then again, sans the BV CW Cap, I have all of the Cap figures thus far. :lol

and unique suit also. The colors are brighter on this one vs the battling version. I am getting this one and have the battling version (and several other Caps). I am looking forward to having this in hand so i can do some modifications to make it more like the BD cap from the end of the movie.

Wow... I never realized how much cleaner it really was in comparison to the BV. Honestly that makes having the BV that much better, but the clean look does look amazing too. I couldn't really see a difference in the promo pics HT has for them... Maybe I will get the entire figure instead of just the head with face plates.

Straight out of the box without doing any kind of mods (such as removing the "A" on the shoulders), between the regular version and the BV, I would say the figure that most accurately conforms to any point in the film would be the regular version with this segment:

After he started fighting Crossbones though, he was getting knocked down to and rolling in the dirt, so I think the BV with the clean shield would most accurately represent that scene. However, as mentioned, each figure straight out of the box without making any mods or alterations, the regular version most accurately represents that beginning sequence in Lagos and that's the only time any of the two stock figures match up with any point in the film I believe.

Although when initially designing the figures, I think for the regular version, they had the final fight scene in mind between Cap, Bucky and IM, hence the inclusion of the gritted teeth faceplate and the airport fight scene in mind with the BV.

I'm not sure why were saying one is better than another. They're both good figures that suits any collector's needs. As long as majority is happy, as long as you are happy, then no need to give out trivial "this is better" remarks.

I don't understand the need for comparison. Perhaps making yourself feel better about the purchase? They're different figures.

I tend to keep only one fig per character, so I like clean versions. Never been a fan of battle damage.

I have multiples of IM, Cap and the Joker (i know random) so i like to mix it up a little bit so one doesn't look like another. So i am doing something very different with my AoU Cap and this one will be my one BD Cap. But if i had just one cap i would go for a cleaner version.

Why not a clean version, everyone has to get up in the morning and get dressed; think of your character as fresh and ready for a day of curbstomping people. :wink1:

My main objection to multiples of one character would be... space. I don't think I would automatically just sell if a new version came out, though.
