Yup, they had two of them at their Lexington location. The Lexington location had a ton of Hot Toys. The Bat, Batman Returns two pack, Time Machine, Quicksilver, Winter Solider Nick Fury, so on and so forth. I told some friends I could have easily dropped $3k in a blink of an eye.

That's bizarre. I've been watching for that to come back into stock with no luck.

Does that work on stuff distributed by Sideshow Collectibles? I heard they're strict on that and the most they can do is like 8% or something, supposedly in the fine print but I don't know. I got it once before because I knew the guy at another store closer to me but the ones up in midtown west and east, I don't know anyone there and asked once and they said Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles only get a max 8% discount on those big discount days. Letmeknow if the app is a loophole though...

The discount won't show up for a HT item, but you call them and they refund you the difference.

Not to bump an older thread but while I was in NYC this week for work, I went to Midtown Comics just to check things out. They had a really good amount of Hot Toys figures there including the BTTF Time Machine. I looked up though and saw this. Wow, was I blown away. This thing is not only massive but incredibly cool. I initially wrote this thing off as overly expensive and unnecessary. Wrong on both fronts. I think I might buy this now that I'm home. Anyone care to talk me out of it? Is it worth the money? Any problems I should know about?

Nice to hear some positive comments on this piece. It caught a lot of hate when it came out, but I've always planned on getting it. Easily on my top 3 movie vehicles list, design-wise.

Question for those who own it: could someone please post the dimensions of the base? Trying to figure out a way to display the beast when the time comes.

Well im in the uk and have seen the deluxe version going for around £450 shipped. I think they were around £570 to £600 over here not long ago.
If i wasnt going away in a few weeks, i would have bit .

Sideshow is giving you double reward points on either version. That's about $70 free. Not the best but not the worst. With how expensive and massive it is I don't know if you'd ever see it on sale or them shipping it for free. I still cannot believe how massive this thing was. So cool. I am thinking of getting a table for the corner of my living room just for this thing should I get it.

On the other front, I was going to buy the Time Machine sooner or later but it kinda looked cheap. They also had this on display and it didn't wow me like I thought it would. For them both being the same price, I'd have to go with The Bat 100%.

I do feel this has been given a hard time. When you look at what hot toys did on the underneath belly of the air craft, it looks pretty stunning IMO. Iv gheard the weathering is also very good on this. As a stand alone piece, I reckon it will look super impressive .

The thing is when you see this in the flesh, you'll have a better understanding as to why its dearer than say the tumbler.

Here's a mini review - Having owned all the tumblers, batpod, 89..... this has much more detail and is way more intricate than all of those. I dont really know how HT pulled this off as its very complex in build. Took me around 2 hours to put together and iv heard others taking longer. It looks totally awesome in every way. The paint work also has a mat brushed metal look to it . You also have the fans and rotors which all move / rotate ....
Any one half interested should try and see this as its very impressive in person and very large and quite deceptive .
The blessing in disguise here tho is to probably wait as if this hasnt sold to well, you could end up with a real bargain.

I got mine a fair price under retail here in the uk but if i had paid full price and more than the tumblers , I wouldnt have been unimpressed.

Weak points - The catwomen figure is a bit weaker than the batman figure but that's a minor gripe. They look great inside the bat.
- The fans and rotors noise ( biggest gripe ) . HT should have spent more time trying to make them quieter . Although they dont sound too great, they really look awesome when you switch them on.
