Someone is selling this on Facebook for 495 usd. Hmm very tempted. Probably could sell my old for that price because it's still sealed

My common sense went out the window the moment I opened my first Marvel Hot Toy. I'm the guy that buys multiple of the same character and enjoys every minute of it.

Yea when you sold me one of your mk 6s, then you posted a pic I was like "hold up, he buys multiple figures" lol..

Yeah I bought 2, one to display with the BD parts on, now my 2nd is with my Avengers display becasue I have no MK 7.

Congrats DasMuse :clap

Personally I still prefer the original over the chrome. In my opinion the chrome one just loses details in the high gloss.

The matte look of the original just looks more appealing to me too. And I can't imagine dealing with the finger prints after handling the chrome version.

That being said, this should being said, this should be an eye catcher.

I've put a lot of thought into it, and I've decided to stick with my original Midas and pass on this one entirely. Same goes for the Mark 4, though I made that decision a few days ago. I'm happy with my originals. :D

I don't suppose this new version will help bring down prices on the first version, will it? That's what I'm really hoping for.

It might people will get the new since they can't get the old one. And the people selling the old one might go down in price. Probably have to wait for enough people get the new one.

I sure hope so. I much prefer the first version but I can't bring myself to pay $450 or more for it. If Sideshow ever gets the Gold Chrome Midas in stock and it's, say, $325, it'd be a tough decision.

Well we all remember the BS price they put on the MK7 Stealth :lol $325 wouldn't surprise me :ohbfrank:

I'm actually only interested in the Mark IV :lol mine could use an upgrade. Some parts on mine are getting old. Never gonna part with the original Mark IV tho, it was my second ever HT.

I doubt it to be honest, if these are as scarce as they seem to be

My Mark 4 could use an upgrade too, for the same reasons. But, I just don't see how I could get either of these for a non-bloated aftermarket price. If Sideshow happens to get either of these, I MIGHT reconsider. Otherwise I'll have to pass.

I hope there is a regular release of a diecast remake of the Mark 4 (and Mark 6) in the next year or two.

Well, it certainly wouldn't be $235. :lol

That's why I'm hoping for a general release. :lol

I could see that happening, especially after HT finally gets the HB off of its plate.

Usually multiple versions of the same figure brings down the price.
Usually, but in the case of the Mark VI's and Mark VII's. They didn't drop.

The only one was significant was the Mark I.

Maybe there'll be a slight one but if both original and new are rare, I can't imagine either of them being affordable.

Yeah same. I would get a DC 4 not a 6 tho, mine has BD parts :clap :lol

I keep thinking how much the Gold plate will pop in between Python and Hot Rod in the eventual HPP display I will build when they are all released. Its going to look fantastic.

Here's a video by Figure Junkie.

Thanks for that... The more I see of this figure, the more beautiful I think it is. I can't wait to get it.

I seen someone say they prefer the first Midas because it's screen accurate and this one isn't... I don't see how the first is screen accurate when all we see of the armor in the actual movie is this:

Honestly, compared to the official art for Midas the gold tones on the chrome version are closer than the first midas figure, I always thought the darker tones on the first one were too brown, which is the reason I never really wanted it. It may not be as reflective as the chrome figure, but the other gold tones are closer IMO.
