3.4k facebook likes means nothing, I like dumb crap on facebook all the time. My girlfriend posted a picture of a pot pie and got over 100 likes :lol. I love the show but 50/50 on getting this.

Nah man, the amount of likes isn't completely without merit. Though it shouldn't be the ONLY way to gauge consumer interest...but it does show an interesting statistic nonetheless.

I get the feeling there might be more to this than meets the eye, there is a chance Kingpin from the show might be in Spidey Homecoming, and that could lead to using them in the MCU, with Hot Toys now making them it feels like its lining up so that we might see them on the big screen at some point

Does not sound like it right now

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - TV - MARVEL: Daredevil - Daredevil & Punisher Collectible Figures

I hope that HT goes for a S2 Daredevil suit. Slap a spare unmasked sculpt in there and they're golden.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - TV - MARVEL: Daredevil - Daredevil & Punisher Collectible Figures

I want S1 and S2. They're both different enough to warrant purchase for me.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - TV - MARVEL: Daredevil - Daredevil & Punisher Collectible Figures

Surely they'll just make DD and Punisher......I'd be surprised if they went that deep into the line.

Yep. If 3.4k likes shows anything it means pretty much every single thing on the planet would be super popular. We will be getting hot toys of grumpy cat and the hills tv show and Paris Hilton.

I'm not (well maybe a little) trying to poke fun.. But this whole idea that there's this huge swell of interest based on your group of friends talking(or not talking about something) and Facebook likes just isn't in line with the wider picture.

By most reports DD had around 4.5-5 million views in the first 11 days for season 1 and around the same for season 2. Which isn't bad. But to compare, that would put it at about the 110-125th most popular tv show. AoS, a show being called less popular, had 7.5 million views. Walking dead had 20 million.

Arrow, flash, super girl all have similar numbers, based on the available data. Constantine was around 5million viewers and got canned. Agent Carter was 6-7 million and is gone.

(Just for comparison with movies..and this is total tickets sold not box office or any of that. Essentially just viewership in theater which is the closest comparisons..BvS had 38million tickets used. So far civil war is at 42million. Gotg and im3 and deadpool all 45-50million. Avengers 75 million. Force awakens is 102million views. Not hard to see why the go with film over tv. )

Now I think DD would do better on network tv, but even if it doubled in viewers it would be in a catagory with CSI cyber (10.1 million viewers) and five or six other shows that got cancelled the last two seasons. The shows great. But it's not some highly fan demanded show that was being overlooked by "the man". It's viewership is on par with other genre shows and is less then the big hits.

For those of you who want Agents of Shield and also those that don't think they would sell...what about just another Coulson? Many people(myself included) missed the first Coulson and would love a second. I'd buy pretty much any new Coulson just to have more Shield Agent representation(I already have Maria Hill, I'm flex paying Fury right now and if you want you can count my Black Widow and Hawkeye figures as shield too).

If Coulson sells, we can probably get one or two more Shield agents and I think that would satisfy most of the show's fans. There's no way we'll get every character as the show's popularity isn't there. But let's say Coulson does great, we can probably at least get maybe a Daisy or a May figure(May would be my preference. I think she's the best character on the show by far) after that before the line dies out. I'd buy all 3 of those characters.

This. :exactly:

S1 DD suit looks almost always angry with the furrowed brows and the "shadowed" front piece of his mask really gives that impression. The S2 DD suit looks like a cross between his S1 suit and the cloth silhouette of his "man in black" suit while giving all the reds a vibrant boost in coloration.

I hope they make an Elektra. She is drop dead gorgeous and the two have great chemistry. I liked their first meet-up in the boxing ring. I think that was a little bit of a wink at the Affleck/Garner DD vs. Elektra playground fight/dance/ballet.

Agreed. If they're making Kingpin, I'd at least want Elektra as well.

I've never understood Facebook. In order to get an accurate read, they need to include a DISLIKE button. I'm not saying there'd be a lot of dislikes for this announcement, but I've read plenty of things that I absolutely abhorred, but the only option is to LIKE it... SCREW THAT.

Who the **** cares? It's Daredevil and the Punisher, they'd sell.

Or you can leave an actual comment on the post instead of just hitting a button.

Yeah, true. But sometimes it's just easier to hit a button and walk away. :wink1:

Plus it would give a more accurate and immediate view of what people think instead of having to read through thousands of posts. You know, X # Liked it X # Disliked it.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - TV - MARVEL: Daredevil - Daredevil & Punisher Collectible Figures

To be honest, and this is all anecdotal, if all my friends talk about GoT, flash, arrow, DD, walking dead, and RARELY talk about AoS...it's real telling on its popularity. I mean I'm sure there are fans of it all over and maybe it's just my friends that aren't into it...but given how little it's mentioned around me and the circles I hang out with (including friends in China), also based on what you just revealed to me...AoS doesn't seem to have strong material to make figures off of. This may sound offensive to some, but it's probably for the best HT avoids AoS. We don't want another line that'll make HT reconsider TV shows again.

And honestly, none of the Agents are really all that more visually interesting than Coulson, who already didn't sell very well. I don't think they're figure material.

Plus Fisk was still in jail in Daredevil Season 2. Why would he be in a Spider-Man movie? (That's not even getting into the fact that the movie division doesn't really seem to have much interest in crossing over with the TV folks).

It's always good to hope I suppose...however it pains me to say that AoS would be a tough sell. If they ever make them, I'm willing to bet they'd end up being con exclusives. To turn that around, all marvel has to do is introduce characters from AoS into the MCU. But then they'll end up being MMS instead of TVMS...

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - TV - MARVEL: Daredevil - Daredevil & Punisher Collectible Figures

i am a day one for these! And yup any other Daredevil related things they want to make I am so there. How could I not be? I showed the wife they were and all she said was when are they releasing them.

Oh dude, I wish there was a dislike button. There were so many posts or real world news articles as well as HT announcements I would've disliked the $*** out of...

And like I said, one can't only use FB as a way to gauge interest of something. But if you look at the other posts on HT page where they're announcing those designer series (the deformed figures...the name escapes me at the moment) or other announcements that haven't reached that many likes...doesn't that at least paint a partial picture?

I agree man and it hurts. I would like more figures from the TV line, but we gotta be realistic.
