On a different note though, I'd like to see the kid who played Sid in looper to be Jake.
Sid?
Do you mean Seth? His buddy that had TK powers?
If so, that was Paul Dano, he was also in There Will Be Blood.

Aaron Paul reportedly cast in The Dark Tower | ShortList Magazine
A bit of obvious casting but I don't care. He is a good choice.

No no, the little kid that Bruce Willis is after. Who becomes the rainmaker. The actor is around the same age Jake was in the book.
Hmmm... I always figured Eddie more like the long haired skater/surfer type... this guy doesn't give me that vibe.
But then again, I always figure Roland to be the Clint Eastwood type...
I'm looking forward to being surprised by this adaptation.
Incidentally, has anybody read the comics?
Been meaning to take a look, are they good?
Oh, I guess I forgot his name! Has he done much since?
Guess I could always check imdb
Wow, didn't know this was actually happening. Every few years it seems that someone else comes forward attached to the part of Roland. Figured this was just another one of those stories.
Honestly, I really don't know if Idris is right for the part. As others have said I always pictured Roland as incredibly world weary and lean. An incredibly hard and brutal life has worn away any youth and handsomeness to the point that all is left is craggy, hard edges.
I'm a bit concerned we haven't heard any casting buzz for Eddie or Susannah. If she ain't black, I'm gonna flip a ****ing table.
Spoiler:So obviously in the books, Roland has repeated his quest for the Dark Tower countless times. Each time he reaches it he's sent back to the desert to begin his journey all over again. I wondered if perhaps in this film adaptation, instead of leaving the Horn of Eld at the Battle of Jericho Hill, Roland takes it with him. What if the films were not an adaptation, but a sequel? Roland's next cycle of his Dark Tower quest? While we all agreed that might be completely awesome and justify any changes, never in a million years did we think the studio would do that.
Then Stephen King tweeted this.
Holy. ****.
