Don't know about you guys but getting these today were Grail figures for me. Takes me right back to 1987 when I was 7-years-old. Paint apps and sculpts are some of HT's best. I will cherish these forever. Talk about memorializing one of best classics ever. [emoji106][emoji851][emoji327][emoji482]

You know it. There are certain movies that you'll never forget, and this is one of them.

Many people would judge that robocop is not a movie a 7 yr old should see, especially with the Ed massacre
I also saw it 7, in the movie theatre
I showed my son when he was 6, he loved it
My son wanted to show his friend the movie and I obliged
My mistake, kid got nightmares from it and I was told , by the kid, that he wasn't allowed to see it
There was also grand theft auto 5

Not to mention Murphy getting torn to shreds while his killers were laughing their asses off. My old man was a bit more responsible...I saw it when I was about 9. Good times. :lol

Doesn't sound to me like any of your parents were responsible adults. What kind of a brain dead a-hole lets little kids watch movies like this? Is it any wonder people are so desensitized to violence?

Im not desensitised to violence. And I'll kill anyone who says otherwise.
Lol. Kids are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for.
I saw this when it was released on vhs back in the day(I'd guess I was 11 years old). Since Star Wars had so many "making of" documentaries that I saw as a child, I had always been aware that movies were make believe, with actors in them and were not real.
It's as true now as it was then, and anyone who hasn't explained to their kids the difference between real life and movies by the time they are ten years old are the ones I would worry about.
I was shown Robocop by an aunt and uncle that knew I loved scifi movies. They also showed me predator when that came out on vhs. Years later, when visiting the same aunt and uncle, their grandson Finn was in their living room on his belly watching the tv(I'd guess Finn was about eight years old), and I was chatting with my uncle. While we were chatting I hadn't been paying attention to the to tv, but Finn was watching Predator. All of a sudden, I turned to the tv and it was the scene where The predator removes Billy's spine and skull in one move. My eyes opened wide at the thought of Finn seeing this. As I had stopped talking, Finn had turned round to see what was up. He saw the look on my face and said: "don't worry. It's all just pretend..."
Bless his little cotton socks.
Explaining about actors and actresses, movies and make believe takes all the bad and puts it in perspective. No-one got shot in the head or got their hand blown off. It's all just pretend.

Who comes into a forum like this and says some dumb $&@! like that? Lol. Oh that's right..an imbecile. Do you want to know what kind of parents allows their seven-year-old child to watch a movie like this? The same parents who watched this same kid grow up to be extremely successful, get married, have kids, and become a phenomenal father himself. So there's that. Whoops. [emoji848][emoji851][emoji90]

I reckon that a firm understanding of the fact they are great entertainment but aren't in any way real is a healthy thing, even for kids. Knowing it's entertainment but far removed from reality allows them to enjoy iron man, but stop themselves from making a cardboard iron man suit and flinging themselves out a tree to see how much fun it is to fly...

even when they do, they just prove evolution theory.
