I'd agree that Affleck Bats is the best put on screen. His version could swap with that of the Arkham games and not miss a beat.

Yeah, they weren't mostly CGI.

CGI? Apart from the grappling away from Doomsday scene, I can't recall any CGI – that's no more than Bale, and it didn't take anything away from Batman in this movie.

Everyone's gonna have their favourite Batman - I really liked Bale, but hated the Begins suit and his voice was ridiculous. Also (not his fault) but I hated the way he gave up being Batman... just didn't make sense and totally out of character for the Batman of the comics.
Keaton - loved the guy as Batman, but it was a Burton fantasy-world Batman, not really the Batman of the comics - he was too small to be believable and he killed far more cold bloodily than Affleck's Batman did... he did it up close and personal!
Cloony and Kilmer were just variants on Adam West, just with a bigger budget!

So, yeah for me Affleck embodies everything I want an on-screen Batman to be... his Bruce Wayne is charming and a playboy, with just the right amount of arrogant ****hole thrown in... and his Batman is brutal, his fighting in the warehouse scene is excellent... probably the best comic book movie fight scene on film - no fancy martial arts stand-off... those guys he buries in the floor, you feel it and you know they're staying down!

Oh and forgot to say... the scene of Batman standing the doorway of Lex's cell... was the most 'Batman' moment I think we'll ever see on the big screen!

Oh and thanks to everyone who advised on what seller to use in the UK.
Loontentoys looks favourite to me. Ordering from Sideshow just isn't feasible due to the custom charges, and Forbidden Planet and Collectible Kitbash are great, but they charge more to accomodate those customs charges.
So I can order from Loontentoys for £180, instead of the £230 it would cost from FP or CK... saving £50 that will go nicely towards Wonder Woman.

...There are growing reports that the WB wants Affleck to make his own Batman film much sooner than planned, so as to capitalize on his current popularity. We shall see. It will be fascinating to see what he creates as the first actor to star, direct and co write his very own Batman film.
Like him or not, there is no doubting his commitment to the role.

Last week before this movie opened, I was saying "Ugh...no way" to an Affleck Batman movie...never cared for him and I'm one of the ones who thought his casting in the role smacked a bit like stunt casting.....but now, after seeing him in action in this...yes, bring it on. He won me over with his take and commitment on the character and with how Batman was shown "in action" in BvS. I'm more interested in seeing that than the "Justice League" thing.

Both Batman and Wonder Woman should have had a good, solid solo movie before this one (and Superman should've had his own sequel)...could've made the build-up for this even more intense.

Have only seen BvS once so far...I like to let a movie kind of soak in my head after one viewing before I check it out again...and I will go again this weekend.

Now...to get back on topic...ordering this figure. I like the additional options for display with the plug-in eye sets and face plates...way better than zombie-eyed, clunky PERS. I hope that concept is retired.

This is the basic Batman...the only other one from this movie I'm very inclined to get is the "Apocalypse" one...that figure just oozes cool...

Are there any fresh shots of this version with the "new" body floating around?

Even with the customs charges and delivery it's still less than buying it from FP or any other UK sellers. Plus I wanna pose him like he was on top of the crane with the rifle.

I was sold on Ben in the role the second he approached his employees and the little girl. Something about the way he did that was very hero-esque in the delivery. What solidified it was when he rushed back into the Batcave and just did his thing. That was the way I see Bats.

Honestly which figures. There is the main trio of heroes and not much else. I'm more hyped for the upcoming Suicide Squad figures, i bet they focus on them from now on.
I'm not interested in most of the Suicide Squad characters except maybe Harley but I sort of wonder if Hot Toys will actually do the full team. I can see them doing The Joker, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and possibly another Batman but I think it's iffy that they'll do the rest.

Cross posting from the statue thread:

What's also on order but not shown;

Batman and superman set, with tech cowl.

As well as Wonder Woman. My buddy that runs a toy store has her on order for me.

Decided to pass on the 1:1 HT batman and (still unannounced) superman statues. Batmans a bit idealized, supermans head looks to small. Oh and the asking price is ridiculous IMO. Batman should be way cheaper than armored batman...not a bit, but wayyyyy cheaper. And their outfits should've been fabric.

But alas..prime 1 is the way to go. Better sculpts, half the size, and their outfits are fabric.

Real excited for BvS offerings this year.

Agreed. It'll be a shame, and unsurprising. if more colorful heroes from marvel can't even sell out like IM...there's no chance in hell HT will make bad guys save for joker and Harley. I'd like a dead shot as well as boomer. Boomer looks like a lot of fun from the trailers.

I know it's a long shot, but I'd really love a Katana. I'm in for Joker, Harley, and Deadshot, though, as they're all bat-related and will fit nicely into my collection. I'd buy Croc, too.

Affleck was the best batman

You can't say something like that in here, what're you trying to start a rumble? :lol

Oh they all will look awesome displayed with batman! That's almost half of batmans rogues gallery...and from one movie!! You can practically recreate a classic Jim lee poster where batman is in the foreground looking at all of his rogues in the background. It just sucks, given HT past history with not completing certain lines. However, you can't really blame them. I mean...does anyone truly think the guy that creates fire will fly off the shelves? Boomer? Katana seems like a possibility, she looks really cool.

Ugh...gotta stop doing this to ourselves. It's torture.

This is starting to look pretty good, my only concern is will then new tweaks they've added to the abs area. Will it hinder articulation I wonder?
Saying that, Antman had limited articulation in that area and it wasn't a major problem for me personally.
As long as it looks good! Haha

I'm in for a Joker form Suicide Squad, I just hope he either comes with a change of clothes or they do the purple shirt, silver jacket suit and not the long purple coat and swear pants. Not a fan of the latter look, always like a suited Joker.

I'd also pick up a Captain Boomerang, but I feel he's a long shot :/ from the trailers it look like he could become a favourite.

I LOVED Batman v Superman. For me, it's the best live action portrayal of these characters. Tim Burton's vision was a gothic fantasy, which was great for what it was. Nolan's vision was a little too grounded for my taste, but I enjoyed those movies, too (minus Bale's increasingly awful Batman voice).

I thought BvS was a great mix of action, dialogue, and narrative. I feel that a lot of the dialogue in Nolan's movies were just speeches... The characters spent a lot of time talking at each other as opposed to with each other.

I also thought Henry Cavill did a terrific job, too. I think it's a shame that more folks aren't talking about his performance. They did a great job as portraying him as a man who is just trying to do the best he can. Wonder Woman and Lex were great, too.
