Wow, yours looks nowhere near as yellow as mine!

In my vid, you can clearly see the yellowing. Maybe it's just the white lamps I used that made it more obvious, whereas yours was in natural light.

Guys, I just got around to inspecting my Ryu and his white outfit has noticeable yellowing. Anyone else have this issue? The one posted a few posts above looks like it might have the same problem. Also, why does the statue come with white gloves? for handling the statue?

Everyones Gi has that yellowing. The amount that shows up in pictures or video depends on the lighting and such. Jerry claims that it was purposely done to mimic a more worn look. It doesn't bother me and looks better in person then in photos.

Thanks, I feel a bit better finding out mine isn't defective. I inspected mine directly under a bright light. In normal lighting, it doesn't look as bad, but I would have preferred a clean outfit. At least I don't need to worry about his outfit getting dirty.

No one believed me when the qc @ pcs was going downhill. I love the company but damn does it look bad.

It's not a QC issue if it is done on purpose.
If you train in Martial Arts you will see anyone that wears a White Gi within a short period of time it starts turning yellow from all the sweating and rolling around no matter how many times you wash it.
Jerry was trying to make it more realistic but he should have realized it could turn a lot of people off.
An option to have it stained & weathered would have been better like he did for the Judge Dredd Lawmaster.

Good thing he didn't try to make Chun Li "realistic" and put red stains on her dress from her menstrual cycle. Because if you are a woman, you would know that sometimes you clothes will get red stains.

Indeed Jerry did say that it was intentional, and some weathering is realistic. I just think they could've done a better job and making it a bit more evenly spread or subtle. At the moment, there are some jarring transitions from the yellow to white areas that seems inconsistent. But on display overall, it still looks awesome and I'm glad to have the Ansatsuken exclusive in my collection.

Here's my review again for those that might have missed it.

The weathering on the battle damaged version looks perfect. The whole statue looks amazing. The regular with full gi seems to be hit and miss from what I'm reading on Statue Forum. Some people are happy with theirs, others not so much.

Weathering is an effect. All of them are gonna be different. Some are bound to look better than others.

Hahahahahahahahha

My dad got his battle damaged so I helped him open it today .... he is bummed. Statue is in overall good shape but a HUGE paint chip/gouge where the head and neck meet. not sure how it passed QC as it is literally about a half inch long and a 1/4 wide. With the head on its fine though but as his first statue from PCS he isnt happy.

They will replace it. Sometimes their response is slow but they always on any item that I received with Damaged exchanged it with no problem.
