need to see Civil War War Machine offering first before I jump on this. One of the few recent remakes I'm glad to see (also with Mark 3) as I wasn't able to purchase them at the time they released. Just going off Iron Patriot and Mark 43, the weight of this thing is going to be impressive

By the time Mk46 and WMMk3 are finally announced and released, I expect they'll be getting close to $400US. For me, going on the specials on MkII at the moment, if I was to add one WM to my collection just to have one, MkII this week would be a no-brainer. The MkI remake does look good though.

If the elbows do push up, would that mean double jointed elbows? Cuz it's be nice to do the salute pose with this one.

I just did a quick check on Ebay, and the original WM aren't really on sale or anything. They're not as expensive as they were before this was released, but most of them are for sale for a little over $300 USD. I'd rather pay the extra $60 for the new one...

But can it salute? I know mms120 can't.

I've been checking prices as well. I've already done the pre order for the new one. I too would rather just pay the extra $60+ and get a NIB figure and the rewards points as well. All the first release WM Mk Is being listed are no doubt by people looking to upgrade to the new version. There are a lot more new ones listed since the preorder started.

Nobody got my Star Trek IV reference this time? *sigh*
I got it i just didnt say anything, didn't know i was supposed to. My 2nd fave by the way.
Yep, same. Chuckled to myself but didn't comment.

And dannnng, latest pics are looking great. My resolve to wait for a deal is already weakening but I will wait until my current pre-orders are all cleared out in January before committing to this piece.

I posted and sold mine for $300 that night it was announced. I didn't think i would even get that.

Then you probably sold it to someone who knows nothing about Sideshow Toys. (I found out about Sideshow after I bought my first armor from ebay)
War Machine Mk I still fetches a high resale price on ebay because,
1)It's an awesome looking figure
2)It's long sold out
3)It's an awesome looking figure
4)War Machine Mk II Versions 1.0 and 2.0 were kind of disappointing when compared to Mk I
5)It's an awesome looking figure
I almost got one back in May from ebay for $255. Unfortunately it was a scam. Auction ended on a holiday, so there was no one paying attention. But, the buyer wasn't selling anything. He was posting stuff for sale, collecting the money, and shopping on ebay with other peoples money. 20+ negative feedback in one week. His feedback was good before that so I bid. I got my money back in full, just had to wait. Since then I kept checking ebay for a good one. But with the announcement of a new one, I figured I'll just buy that. About the same amount of money, but I know I'm getting a NIB figure and the rewards points.

You can tell its double jointed. No reason for the elbow joint to be up top next to the bicep of there wasn't another one down by the forearm. Either that or you can move the elbow armor up.

But you are saying you'd still grab it for $20 less?

um. yes.

Why buy any figures at all then? I don't see the reason to PO a figure as soon as it goes up. It's not going to sell out and chances are it'll be on a discount down the road.

i dont PO anything unless its A) not made by SS and B) I have some kind of coupon or RP.

Because $250 for plastic/diecast is reasonable.

coupons help offset the price. doesn't mean i think its reasonable.

Hahaha pincho calling people out...I love it. Some people are so dramatic sometimes. We're all here paying absurd amounts of money for freaking dolls

I'm probably the least dramatic person here. I'm well aware of the $$ invested by everyone here. but once in a while it just hits me that spending this amount of money on fancy toy dolls can make me feel a bit affected.

Some UK prices for this are at around £300.... :horror :horror :horror :horror :horror :horror

To be fair though once you factor in postage and import taxes from Sideshow its more than that... So unless you can find it on Ebay or from a HK middleman for much cheaper your better getting it from the UK.

I am waiting for pictures of the WM Civil War. It will be that one or this one I will be getting. If the Civil War one is skinny then this will be the one I pick.

It looks like a streamlined version of the MK1 (or a bulked up MK2) but it should come with a lot of BD parts also
